Rochester, N.Y., resident Herbert Smith wasn’t aware of the controversy he was about to create when he was moved to post a photo of a local bar’s dress code to his Facebook page. But since he took to social media to share the long list of items that can’t be worn inside the Murphy’s Law Irish Pub in his neighborhood, some people are calling out the bar for enforcing a “racist” dress code.
While making plans with a friend to meet up at a nearby bar, Smith received a picture of the questionable dress code posted in the front window of Murphy’s Law. He tells Yahoo Lifestyle that “it immediately struck a chord.” Although he wasn’t entirely sure what to think about it, he decided to call attention to it.
“I post a lot of stuff on Facebook, so I thought a few of my friends would chime in,” he says. “But what happened next I was not expecting.” ...

What’s the problem with work boots.

And, it is a private business, so he should be able to allow or disallow whomever he wants.
I see white people dressed in the described fashion all the time. In fact, the black people I know do not dress like that at all.
With a proper ID there should be no one that shouldnt be legitimately able to take this up with their duly elected representative. Or buy the property outright and make up their very own rules.
If people are offended, don’t go. We’ve already established this year that if a business and its workers don’t like someone because of their beliefs, you have every right to deny them service. Let the business either survive or fail by its rules.
Same here. I sere NO PROBLEM with it. Then why dont these triggered snowflakes go somewhere else? The leftard who posted the pics doesn’t have the brain power to think “hey, this is NOT the only bar in town to meet up..”

I sometimes wear white T-shirts. I don’t know if my Red Wing work boots would be mistaken for Timberland. Probably not since my work boots are also cowboy boots. But not for dining after 8PM? Sounds reasonable to me.
Although I generally eat by 6PM and never in a pub of any kind.
That’s one uptight pub owner! The Four Seasons has less requirements.
The dress code is limited to Friday and Saturday after 8:00 p.m. You can wear all that stuff in the bar at other times.

I don’t see the problem here - if PayPal can refuse service to infowars then bars can refuse service based on what people wear.
