Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said late Friday night that he is giving Christine Blasey Ford more time to decide whether to testify on her allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Grassley wrote on Twitter that he had "just granted another extension to Dr Ford to decide if she wants to proceed [with] the statement she made last week to testify to the [Senate]."

I'm seeing discussions online between nonpolitical individuals who are starting to wonder if Ford's story is fake, since she keeps refusing every hand that Grassley extends to her.

Grassley KNOWS her story is BS they have done their own investigation he KNOWS she won’t show AND if she does they’ve got her for lying either way Grassley knows everything is in the bag!! I just HATE that Kavanaugh and his family are being strung along like this!!!

I do too, but we should be getting used to it, since this is how the corrupt Dem party has worked since before Obama worked his mojo, and made them think they were invincible.

Apparently he has to, to squelch any possible objections from Collins, Flake, and Murkowski. He needs at least two of their votes, or Kavanaugh is done.

Having gone through the human dimensions of the job, I’m still very disappointed when these people fail to live up to their promises. But don’t think of them as pols - think of them as car salesmen with quotas - but of voters they have to avoid alienating, while hanging on to yours.

Grassley has repeatedly extended the deadline for her to agree to appear this coming Monday, but has not changed the drop dead date of the hearing itself.
Per the latest information, the committee will vote as scheduled on Monday.
Nope. He is giving her until Wednesday to testify, not Thursday, as she asked for. She will go first, not Kavanaugh, and will be asked questions by a lawyer. Those are Grassleys stipulations. Now he has extended the deadline for her to respond to Saturday.
Tell that to the four squishy GOPer whose fence-sitting is holding up the process. If Grassley doesn’t get their votes, forget about this going forward.

I think Ford’s story is a total lie, at least concerning Kavanaugh. That’s why she “can’t remember” anything. If she named names, she’d be exposed by all those named people as a fraud. She has had 36 YEARS to get her story straight, but the clown Grassley still gives her more time.
