Very blessed....Florence only dropped 0.15 so the streams are FINALLY beginning to go back to more normal volumes.

Some of the leaves are turning much earlier than normal. A hickory that usually starts to color up around October 1 has started to get yellow tinges and the spicebushes which generally don’t yellow until around Columbus Day are starting to turn.

Saw a “wooly bear” that was brown all over...might mean a mild winter.

I have mixed feelings. I was glad to see the kitties and to sleep in my comfortable bed, but geez! I miss the kids so much! The visit was just way too short. We just don’t like to disrupt their lives for extended periods of time. Especially with the girls in school.

The rain was nicer to us today and did wait until the festival was over, unlike yesterday when it gave us a soggy start. We finally got just shy of .3 an inch at the farm around 11 tonight. More to come the next couple of days as the front slowly creeps through.

You got a nice rainfall overnight. One less thing to worry about this weekend ... no lawn watering.

How’s your weekend gone so far? Did the rain keep you and Gizmo home from the lake?

We actually got to spend a few minutes out at Comanche Lake yesterday. Gizmo decided though he wanted to try out for track and field and ran me out and we ended up going back to the house. We had a great time though.

Glad you two got to get out for a while. I was afraid the weather would put a damper on that this weekend.

You’ve got your hands full with Gizmo, don’t you? But hey, he keeps you in shape trying to keep up with him. LOL
