Backpedaling? Ford's Lawyer Sends a Letter to Grassley With Grave Concerns
Townhall ^ | 25 September 2018 | Beth Baumann

Posted on 09/24/2018 10:43:47 PM PDT by lowbuck

One of the attorneys for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Judge Brett Kavanaugh's first sexual assault accuser, sent a letter late Monday night to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley expressing concerns about the format of Thursday's hearings.

In his letter, attorney Michael Bromwich expressed concern over an experienced sex crimes prosecutor coming in to help with the hearings. More than anything, Bromwich immediately demanded a copy of the prosecutor's resume after arguing that there is no need for him or her to be present. His argument: neither Ford nor Kavanaugh are on trial.

Bromwich also said Ford's team is not convinced that she will receive a "fair and credible" process because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Ford's accusations are a "smear campaign" put together by the Democrats as a means of keeping Kavanaugh from being confirmed.

Yes it’s past time to stop catering every demand being made by miss sunglasses. We have had enough of this BS.

It’s seems that no matter what concessions are being made to miss sunglasses, that all it does is move the goal posts and trigger more demands well let’s shut this crap down and just vote.

At first, she was taken seriously ...there was an interest in what she had to say.

Now she’s turned into a nit-picking pest ....... her only complete thought seems to be “Me First.”

This kooky woman has become the fabled “boy who cried wolf.”

She’s gone too far....and simply cant be believed.

I’ve seen credible anonymous Internet allegations that Mikey Bromwich likes to watch when his wife does the Christine Blasey with a roomful of guys...

Rush predicted she would not testify.

Her purpose is to delay and slander.

If she showed up, she would commit perjury and would be an obvious fraud. The Democrats will not let her appear.

There comes a point where you just have to let a willful child cry and protest themselves to sleep. Every parent learns this. The child will howl, and fume and fuss, possibly even say mean or accusing things once they figure out they aren’t getting their way but the parent realizes that they need to exert some discipline because the child is never satisfied. Once you cave on one thing, the hysteria switches to something else. It is time for the adults to take over.

Just take the vote!

All delay tactics by the Dems. They'll keep coming up with excuses. Next - accusations that Brett Kavanaugh is causing Climate Change and earthquakes, necessitating hearings on that. F' the Dems, take the vote and then let Balsy Ford talk to whoever where ever. Come on Senators, grow a spine!

Well, why does she need a prosecutor on her team? Why does she need three lawyers?

Her “grave” concern should be that her client is a lying sack of s**t.

I’ve thought/said from the moment this came out, put her in an interview room with an experience Sex Crimes detective and she’d be shown the door. Put her in a courtroom, before a judge to try and swear out a warrant and she’d be laughed out of the courtroom.

She ain’t a-gonna show. Never intended to but had run out of excuses. Now they’ve given her this sex crimes prosecutor as an excuse and she’s jumped for it. She knows the lawyer will see through all of her lies.

The Senate needs to be ready to vote Thursday.

She will refuse to testify as this will risk perjury. She will then go on TV 24/7 to spew her lies. It is that simple.

Once confirmed to the Supreme Court I hope Kavanaugh sues this vile woman. It is important to keep this from happening again. I fear he will not but it would be a wise decision. At this point he has much more important work to do. The real hell of it for her is if Kavanaugh is not confirmed he has much motive to go after her and nothing to lose.

"Next - accusations that Brett Kavanaugh is causing Climate Change"

And this should be satire as well, but unfortunately it's real: Amnesty International today or yesterday called for a halt to the hearings while someone investigates possible crimes against humanity ... ie, whether Kavanaugh's role in the GWB administration post-911 included involvement in decisions leading to waterboarding and other torture of Al Qaeda terrorists.

Oh? They're sure making it seem like he's on trial.
