Democrat Andrew Gillum has a 5-point lead over Ron Desantis (R) in the upcoming Florida gubernatorial election, according to a poll released Tuesday.
The NBC/Marist Poll found that 48 percent of likely voters surveyed said they would vote for Gillum if the election were held today, while 43 percent said they'd support DeSantis. Seven percent of those surveyed said they remain undecided.
Results are expectedly skewed based on party affiliation, with 90 percent of Democrats backing Gillum and 86 percent voicing support for DeSantis.

I can’t believe Florida. The state that went for Trump in 2016 could actually be stupid enough to elect a freaking card carrying socialist that is so crooked he’s already under FBI investigation and might be in federal prison before he makes it to the Governor’s mansion. Is there something I’m missing? Is this guy a really smooth talker or something?
They may or may not be true at this stage, but this commie needs to be outed over the next couple weeks one way or the other. I cannot see Florida supporting this set of policies but he has not been defined by them as of yet. The ads need to start being hard hitting not light and humorous. This dude will destroy the economy here.

I remember in 2000, Algore was leading Bush by 12 points in a poll the week before the election. I agree that if the poll IS correct, this whole nation is finished except for the dirt being thrown on top.
They polled 600 people? Where? In Broward county? It doesn’t say. These polls are always heavily weighted towards the rat even though Florida usually votes for the GOP by 3-5 points statewide.
The Red Tide is being blamed on Rick Scott and the Republicans.

But that might not occur before 2019.
1. Gillum has yet to be exposed
2. DeSantis has not yet revved up
3. When Rick Scott won, it was not by much
Let that be a lesson. You get ONE CHANCE to get it right with Trump - if you blow it, life gets very difficult, as Ted Cruz is now dealing with.
