I donated too.
Liberal Joe has got to go!
Another thing Mountaineers have not forgotten is just how Expanded Medicaid has given them “free health care.”
The EpiPen costs were born by the collectives of the school districts through property taxes. Before Expanded Medicaid, health care and health care insurance costs were born by the individual. Many no longer bear that personal burden thanks to Obamacare.
Then there’s the issue of Pat’s lobbying for big pharma and the opioid epidemic.
I want Manchin gone also, but let’s face the facts here. Obamacare and blaming the epidemic on Morrissey will buy a lot of votes.
Bump for donations. If we don’t fight, we won’t win.
Manchin has NO CHOICE but to vote for Kavanaugh.
Do anything else, and he loses.
This entire sad episode was to give cover to Manchin and others to vote no.
That’s party politics for you. Gotta be more than 9 times out of 10 people, especially in the House but also in the Senate, that Congress votes for whatever the party bosses want them to. They don’t think about what’s best for the country, often not even for their state or district, just what the party wants for whatever reasons they devise... and often has to do with their larger election strategies rather than the bills they are voting on.
My point is that in this political atmosphere we have to vote to support the GOP party and that means some decent candidates have to lose. Not saying Manchin is a decent Senator, but there are some House races where there are some seemingly good Dems running that may draw some GOP voters because of their records. Unfortunately right now, you gotta vote for the party not the candidate. Some conservative Dems in some house races might otherwise be decent folks but they are not free from party politics to be free to vote their conscience or vote for what’s right. Same goes for GOP candidates and that’s the reason we have to choose a side, even sometimes holding our noses and voting for the GOP candidates.
