Two sexual assault survivors and an Arizona state representative on Monday confronted GOP Sen. David Perdue (Ga.) at a Washington, D.C., airport over the sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The women pressed Perdue over his "yes" vote on Kavanaugh as they followed him through Reagan National Airport, sharing their personal experiences with the Georgia senator and his wife, who both largely ignored them, according to a video of the incident.
Perdue ultimately disappeared into the men's bathroom as the women continued to shout after him.
"This is a legacy and a moment in history that will not be forgotten," one woman yelled after him.
The Cut identified the two sexual assault survivors as Patti Serrano and Jennifer Epps-Addison, who are both affiliated with advocacy group the Center for Popular Democracy.
The other woman in the video introduces herself as Arizona State Representative Isela Blanc (D). Blanc, a vocal activist, was arrested over the summer for protesting President Trump's "zero-tolerance" immigration policy.
Blanc's office did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.
Blanc in the video walked in front of Perdue, holding out her hand to him as she introduced herself.
"Excuse me," he said, backing away from her. "If I'm touched another time..."
"I haven't touched you, sir," Blanc replies. "We're asking you to stand up for justice."
"How can you not talk to women who have been assaulted?" another woman asks as Perdue breaks away to enter the men's restroom. "How can you ignore our pleas?"
The confrontation is the latest in a string of similar interactions organized by liberal activists opposing Kavanaugh's nomination.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) were also both confronted by survivors of sexual assault associated with the Center for Popular Democracy at the airport on Monday.
"Senator McConnell, do you always turn your back on women like this?" a woman asked McConnell as he walked out of the airport.
"Senator McConnell, why do women have to bare their whole soul to you?" another woman asked.
The Center for Popular Democracy also helped organize an emotional demonstration for Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) last week, during which sexual assault survivors stood in front of elevator doors in the Capitol as they pleaded with Flake to hear their voices.
McConnell, Corker and Perdue have largely stood behind Kavanaugh as three women have publicly accused him of sexual misconduct. McConnell on Tuesday vowed that the Senate will vote on Kavanaugh "this week," after the one-week FBI investigation into the allegations is complete.
Survivors of sexual assault have mobilized behind the women accusing Kavanaugh, in particular Christine Blasey Ford, who testified last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegation that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and groped her during a high school party in 1982.
Another woman, Deborah Ramirez, has alleged Kavanaugh exposed himself without her consent and thrust his penis into her face during a Yale University gathering in 1980.
Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the accusations, calling them "false" and a "smear."
Hundreds of survivors have flooded the Capitol in the wake of the allegations, sharing their stories of rape and abuse in front of lawmakers' offices as they urge the Senate to vote "no."

Someone needs to start going Genghis Khan on these AstroTurf protestors.
Flake folded like a cheap suit now they’re emboldened.
I think ‘survivor’ is a bit much. Most everybody goes through some s$it at sometime in their lives.... some have it worse than others.
But survivor to me implies a near death experience.
“the two sexual assault survivors”
Says who? Did they ever report it? Or are they making it up on the spot like the woman who confronted Jeff Flake? That woman told him “nobody believed me” but also told him “I’ve never told anyone until this moment” (or something like that).
Once again, where was security? No Republican Senator should be traveling without a security detail. Same thing for prominent Administration appointees.
and how do we know these women are survivors of sexual assault and not just more liars??
Not many sounds irritate the nerves like a yelling adult who is not a man.
“We’re asking you to stand up for justice.”
~~~
Nope!
Not justice as a legal or even political concept.
Social justice? Perhaps.
They want him to stand up for the moral relevance of an accusation immense power, which most people would call in injustice, particularly if it were to happen to them.
The old technique of employing the “it’s the seriousness of the charge” philosophy, but only when it suits their side, or their cause, and never every when the tables are turned
They are children, modern day leftists. They argue like little kids. Seriously, its like listening to 8 year olds. Simply amazing.
They should also be wearing body cams.
If I were a GOP elected official I would put a stack of business cards in my pocket from sexual assault counselor orgs and when confronted tell the ladies....
“I am not trained in helping you with your trauma. This phone number is for a fantastic organization that can help you recover from your trauma.”
Then adios muchachas.
Repeatingly following another to annoy or alarm constitutes AggravatedHarrassment. Easy collar.
the two sexual assault survivors
Of course they are survivors. Just being womyn in a penis-dominated male patriarchy is to be continuously assaulted.
(I wish I could use the sarcasm tag here...)
Maybe some RINOs will learn that democrats are not their friends and start fighting them.
And that's the problem.
Republicans don't want to be seen as 'attacking' or 'prosecuting' anyone, especially women who are alleged victims of alleged rapes.
“How can you not talk to women who have been assaulted?”
F you.
Thanks, Flake. Youve emboldened these terrorists. Great job.
