The Democrats and Keyser Soze
American Thinker ^ | 10/6/18 | Theo Caldwell

Posted on 10/06/2018 10:05:38 AM PDT by Sharkfish

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled,” advised Keyser Soze, “was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”

One of the best lines in movie history, uttered by the recently unpersonned Kevin Spacey in his Oscar-winning turn in The Usual Suspects, it has the benefit of being true.

Not to plot-spoil it for readers who have not found time in the past quarter-century to see this two-hour tour de force, the twist of the tale is that, not only does the devil very much exist, he takes the form you would least suppose.

That is, he feigns weakness, innocence, and vulnerability, even as he exercises wickedness, power, and control.

The trouble for Democrats in recent days is that their disguise has become transparent.

Live and learn - I always thought that quote belonged to C.S. Lewis.

Greatt article, even though I never cared much for “The Usual Suspects”. I think Trump enunciates much of what the author wrote.

End of article: "Here, as in Keyser Soze’s example, brute power wears a veil of innocence and vulnerability. The point is not that Democrats, in particular, are evil. All people are evil. The difference is that traditional Americans and Christians, by definition, understand this about themselves and recognize the need for redemption by a higher power. For Democrats, there is no higher power but power itself."

Important aspect to Soze that was left out is the narrative of how Soze responded when the Hungarian bad guys held his family and threatened to harm them.

Soze killed nearly everybody in the room, including all his family members, but left one Hungarian; A witness to
what can happen if you cross the power.

That’s what the Dems do. They will destroy everything to win.

Soze then went on to kill all the family members of the bad guys.

Just like the modern Left does to families of their political/social/cultural/financial enemies.

And leave no doubt in your mind, YOU ARE their enemy.
As a freedom loving, free thinking citizen, the Left wants you GONE.

“Whatever your political affiliation, you know very well that Democrat politicians would never be hounded out of restaurants, harassed in public places, have their homes surrounded and vandalized, and their children mocked, as has happened to Republicans lately.

“This particular technique of mobbing and public abuse is a staple of Castro’s Cuba and other communist regimes. In America, it was incubated on the college campus before its recent graduation to national politics. And it is a practical manifestation of the devil’s rage against the light.”

Bump!

Would add also that the sociopathic like to use their opponents morality against them. Which explains why they shout crazy lies that they know are false. The sociopath knows their opponent must give benefit of the doubt due to their morality. Once that doubt is broken, the sociopath has no clothes. And neither will the babies that come to full term now

Well put. May I also add that end time scripture makes reference regarding the "reprobate mind" (a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person: a person rejected by God and beyond hope of salvation.) He will remove "the restrainer" and allow those whose consciouses have been seared to bear the fruits of wickedness to full extent.

"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate”Titus 1:16).
