Scalise uses the word “democracy” dozens of times, and uses the word “republic” zero times.
If we are to engage in the war on language, more of our elected “leaders” need to be mindful to use conservative language, and not fall prey to using the tongue of the leftists.

That’s one of my pet peeves. Every time George W. Bush came on TV and mumbled platitudes about “democracy” for Iraq, Asscrackistan, and other world shitholes, I cringed.
I was going to post a rant about people, even the so-called smart people, using the term "democracy" instead of the correct term, "republic," but you beat me to it.
It really angers me when so many people who are supposed to know better use the wrong terminology and it makes me believe that is one reason so many citizens want us to become a democracy.
