until Trump was elected, we were on ‘slow roll’ for eight years in our company. After the election, we invested in the future. Obama does not understand Capital investment leads to jobs. His feat during the manufactured crisis was to raid the treasury to reward his friends and loose the Government wolves on his enemies.
If Trump had Obama’s $700B stimulus and ZIRP from the Fed, we’d be in tall cotton.
The downturn actually hit bottom in late 2012. 2012 too 2016 can be split into 3 groups of markets.
1. New York-Beltway-LA-Silicon Valley-Seattle
2. Some Red states TX, TN, NC, GA, FL (not all Red States).
3. The Rust Belt, Plains and everybody else.
Obama deserves some of the credit for the beltway having the wealthiest counties in the nation, and for the FED giving welfare to Wall Street money flippers. But he deserves no credit for the boom in the red states. Since the Rust Belt locally followed the same path as his national path, he gets blame for # 3.
Trump has been good for almost everyone except Illinois. Illinois has debt problems that are going to continue to drive the exodus.

Well, he did leave it so deep in the tank that the only way to go was up....when he left office, and Hillary was on the sidelines, the anchor was lifted off and then Trump replaced the engines with supercharged models.
