Iowa Republican has come under renewed scrutiny for past remarks
The campaign arm of House Republicans will not be sending any last-minute support to controversial Rep. Steve King, who faces a competitive race in a deep-red Iowa district.
King has been the subject of renewed attention for racist remarks and social media posts backing white nationalists, following the shooting last week at a Pittsburgh synagogue that left 11 people dead.
Ohio Rep. Steve Stivers, who chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee, tweeted Thursday that King’s “recent comments, actions, and retweets are completely inappropriate. We must stand up against white supremacy and hate in all forms, and I strongly condemn this behavior.”

An indication that the GOP seems convinced that they’re going to lose the House. If they’re already destined for a minority then what’s one more lost seat if it rids them of King and his politically incorrect views? If they thought they had a chance of holding on to the House then they’d be backing him to the hilt.

Once you accept that there is only one big uniparty, GOPe “strategy” makes perfect sense and you realize that they have not been shooting themselves in the foot.
The Truth.
Sounds like he’s made some comments lately “defending the white race,” which of course is the lowest of the low.
He made a defense of western civilization and said that unrestricted immigration is damaging it because those who come in don’t believe in the same ideologies and concepts of western civ and sometimes actively work against it.
This was seen as a dog whistle for racism and white nationalism (western civ is white and immigrants be black yknow)
Ryan and his band of Never Trimpets Nrcc then that should help him boost his campaign .
