EV = early voting which I had to spend several minutes trying to figure out.
is=if
Heh. The EV here does stand for “early voting”.
Just like OMB can stand for “Office of Management and Budget” or “Orange Man Bad!”
They are hard numbers of how many ballots have been cast at this point.
Those numbers are likely as indicative of the outcome as polls, perhaps more so.
Absentee ballots are a form of early voting.
He is citing TargetSmart, which is a Democrat data firm. They analyze voter turnout based on geography, demographics, etc and draw conclusions as to whether the voters who have EV/absentee voted are Rs or Ds. Their data analysis suggests Rs are doing very well in most states. Not Fake News.
My brother and wife live in Arizona and they are throughly pi$$ed that so many so-called Republicans are refusing to vote for McSally as a protest because they do not believe she is conservative enough. Look, Ward did not wind but McSally is ten times better than a Sinema. Just hard to believe they could be so angry. I call them Never-McSallyers just as we had never Trumpers.
I just donated money to James right now. I think that James will be one of the surprises on Tuesday but I think the biggest will be Menendez in NJ going down.
Mitchell is so unreliable.
I note that in Dem heavy states like Delaware, that early voting is running ahead of 2014 as well, with Dems showing up to vote. I believe that early-voting is getting used more by different groups, so comparison to previous years may not work consistently.
That said, in some places, Dem early voting is static while Republican early voting is up. That can only be good.
I would be angry too IF Ward did not participate in a primary election.
She was the better candidate, but McSally won fair and square. C’mon, pubbies, this is who we are.
If Ward didn’t run...if McSally was APPOINTED, it would be different.
Go to the site and look at maps for Ohio. One RAT county near Cleveland has reported NO votes - other than that I agree were ahead
Well that’s GNAA!
They have other ways to model how you voted. For example, if you sign a statewide petition against Gay marriage, they will mark you as a Republican. They gather all kinds of info on households today, what you buy, drive, etc and come up with a political profile for your household. If you vote, they model your vote based on data they have.
They are hard numbers of how many ballots have been cast at this point.
Yes yes, but the headline declares by party not numbers; as if they know the contents of the ballots. makes no sense.
That Democrat vote is up over 2014 is not shocking anywhere. 2014 was a disaster for Democrats.
Ward > McSally
but McSally > McCain
nough said
Three of four are Blue States, smelling like a Red Tsunami.
Yep. Lots of GOP campaigns have really only focused on mail and early voting for their GOTV efforts. Hard to tell how much of that is enthusiasm and how much is simply getting votes harvested earlier this year.
My gut tells me that blue states will go bluer than before, largely, and red and purple at least as red as before. Some exceptions on both sides due to the strength of the particular candidates.
