In Maryland, Republican Governor Larry Hogan will win a second term by defeating Democrat Ben Jealous, the former president of the NAACP. In Massachusetts, Republican Governor Charlie Baker will win a second term by defeating Democrat Jay Gonzalez. In Alabama, Republican Governor Kay Ivey will win election to a first full term by defeating Democrat Walter Maddox, the mayor of Tuscaloosa.

The very idea that dems can possibly take the house makes me want to vomit. This is proof that America has some of the dumbest citizens in the universe.

Actually, that’s REALLY good news. If a Republican can still win statewide office in Massachusetts and Maryland, that doesn’t bode well for a “blue wave”.

Baker was never a republican.

I don’t think a Republican Governor has won re-election in MD in my lifetime.
Charlie Baker is an absolute scumbag. I guarantee you he got more votes from Democrats than Republicans. Baker’s son molested a woman on an airplane flight coming into Logan. But the state police are so corrupt and in baker’s back pocket, it’s still being covered up. Even the Democrats didn’t bring it up during the election. All the while Baker was screaming about Kavanaugh. Again he is an absolute scumbag.
Hogan of Maryland is at best center right. He’s also the incumbent. His opponent, ben Jealous ran an absolutely horrible campaign.
The guy who was projected to be the actual candidate died during the primaries. The other candidates then had to actually come up with campaign platforms
He’s a good governor but gives nothing to conservatives.
