Indiana Senate candidate Mike Braun, who is pro-life, has defeated pro-abortion Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly in a race that helps republicans hold the Senate and perhaps increase their margins.
While Donnelly says he is pro-life, his voting record shows he rarely supports pro-life legislation. In August, Donnelly voted against an amendment that would have defunded Planned Parenthood, which aborts more than 320,000 unborn babies every year. He also voted against a bill that would have replaced Obamacare and defunded Planned Parenthood in 2017.
In contrast, Braun is solidly pro-life. He said he is fully committed to protecting unborn babies and would support a bill to defund Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion business.
Donnelly voted to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business and was tagged for criticism from pro-life leaders.

Vulnerable Democratic Senators have betrayed their constituents yet again by voting to fund abortion giant Planned Parenthood, and will be held accountable at the ballot box, said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. Democrat Senators in states won by President Trump cannot get away with presenting themselves as moderates any longer, and self-proclaimed pro-life senators like Donnelly and Manchin should be especially ashamed of caving to the abortion lobby and extremists in their party. They have betrayed their constituents and will be held accountable at the ballot box.
Meanwhile, National Right to Life endorsed pro-life businessman Mike Braun in Indianas U.S. Senate election.
National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Mike Braun for the U.S. Senate. Mike Brauns position on life reflects the true values of Indianas voters, said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president. Many Indiana voters will be surprised to learn that while Joe Donnelly claims to be pro-life, he has voted pro-life less than one-third of the time over his six-year term.
Sen. Joe Donnelly (D) consistently votes to give hundreds of millions of dollars of government funds to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the nations largest abortion provider, which performs 900 abortions every day in the United States.
Mike Braun is pro-life and supports legal protection of unborn children. Mike Braun opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion.
Mike Braun opposes giving government funds to abortion providers. Braun will vote to take hundreds of millions of government funds away from abortion providers and divert them to actual health care providers, which will offer comprehensive health care to more women, closer to home.
Indiana voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable among us should vote for Mike Braun in November, added Tobias. Indianas unborn children deserve a senator like Mike Braun, who will vote to protect their lives, rather than Joe Donnelly, who votes to protect the financial interests of the abortion industry.
When U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly won in the state of Indiana in 2012, he campaigned as a moderate Democrat with a pro-life stance. Then he called Braun an extremist for being pro-life.
During a recent debate, Donnelly tried to paint Braun as an extremist on abortion. According to National Review:
With Donnellys current opponent gaining steam and narrowing the gap to two percentage points, the Indiana senator hoped to re-create the Mourdock moment in his debate with Braun. I was on a stage six years ago where they said Richard Mourdock was extreme, Donnelly said referring to Mourdocks comments concerning rape. But Mike is actually more extreme because he thinks he should be in the middle of a decision for your wife or your daughter when their life is at stake.
The conservative news outlet chided Donnelly for describing Braun as an extremist, while ignoring the pro-abortion extremism within his own party. The Democratic Party platform supports unrestricted abortion for any reason up to birth and taxpayer-funded abortions.

It noted how Donnelly has never called out pro-abortion party leaders Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer for pushing abortion on demand an extreme position that most Americans oppose.
Donnellys overall voting record on pro-life issues is mixed. For this session, Donnelly voted pro-life just 33 percent of the time, according to the National Right to Life Committee. Most recently, he also voted against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaughs confirmation.
Braun is endorsed by the National Right to Life Committee and Indiana Right to Life PACs, which said he will be a dependable voice for life in the U.S. Senate. He supports protections for unborn babies and an end to taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood
an Irish-Catholic Democrap like Ted Kennedy, I can’t understand why some people believed him. 33% isn’t pro-life, I’ll tell you that much.
I noticed that most of the democraps up for re-election who voted against Kavanaugh, lost the election tonight, good!!
Excellent, and a pleasant surprise to me. (I don’t follow Indiana politics that closely.)
