It was very close! All of the out-of-state billionaire money failed to push commie Gillum over the top.

SE Mom--glad you made it to the poll safely. Thank you for taking additional voters too! BIG hat tip for your efforts!

I’m not gonna believe until I read it in the MSM tomorrow morning!

As the “Redneck Riviera” is our adopted second home, we too were very concerned about Gillum. A very, very big relief.

Your adopted second home is the area that pushed us over the top with Panhandle GOP votes 70+%. Hurricane hammered Bay County was understandably very slow to finalize counted ballots (63.2K votes, 72% GOP). Good thing too, as ultra-liberal Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties always have pockets of polls with holdout "how many votes are needed to close the gap?" vote tallies.

The Florida Panhandle is definitely a basket of proud Deplorables!

“Thank you, God! My relief (and that of thousands of fellow Floridians) is profound. The thought of this leftist Gillum as my governor gave me several sleepless nights and days of worry. The real shock is how close it was.”

That is how I feel, too. I went to bed thinking Gillum was winning. What a joy to have Desantis and Scott win while I slept. Add, Ted Cruz winning in Tx. Have yet to process the rest of the Country but it feels good to see ‘good’ winning.

There is no excuse for this race, and many others, to have been so close. Gillum should have choked bigly considering his performance as mayor, and his whacky ideology. I don’t understand. So many people can’t be so stupid, or ... cheating.

Indeed, we are so fortunate Gillum lost.

It seems Nelson is going for a recount...eeek! It never ends with them. The crazy one in Georgia too.

I’m turning off my pc and taking my corgi for a long walk..de-stress after yesterday!

Yes, they can. Since the Dawn of Mankind, it has been shown that Something for Nothing can sell just about every time it's tried.

Indeed, yesterday and last night were exhausting. Our friends in Broward County are still tinkering with mail-in and early voting per FL Division of Elections. They never get tired of cheating.

We are soooooo happy for all conservatives / Republicans in Florida!! The DeSantis-Gillum race in particular had me VERY worried. Hubby and I jumped up and cheered when we saw that (finally) DeSantis made it over the Finish Line!

And of course I thought of you when 'ol Bill Nelson got ousted by the great, hard-working Rick Scott! How can anyone even compare those two - dynamic Scott vs. Nelson, who has been asleep for 42 years.

You *have to* post some of your hysterical pics of stupid Bill Nelson - just for old times' sake at some point, LOL! :-D

OMG... just listening to Rush despairing about all the former FELONS (1.4 million of them) who will now be allowed to vote in Florida per yesterday's ballot initiative. Wow.

Ugh, I may have mentioned last night / this morning that I heard / saw Stacy Abrams' social justice non-concession speech last night. *Of course* she's throwing around the damn Race Card, and hinted at calling Brian Kemp a racist. Despicable.

Hope Scott is OK in Florida. God help us all if that idiot Nelson gets back in power. Dynamic, hard-working Rick Scott deserves his win!

Awww.... you have a corgi?! Corgis are so cute. How are they as pets? (Alas, I've never had a dog)

Holy crap! Just back from walk to discover Sessions has resigned. That was fast. Breaks my heart he was such a disappointment. Onward though...

Yes, I’ve had corgis ...forever I think. At least 30 years...have had 5. Only one now...she’s a pip! They’re wonderful dogs...funny, smart, always grinning, full of mischief and tricks. Loving, but not clingers, good with normal kids (not the ones who like to hurt pets) and fine with other dogs and cats. Mostly they love meeting people!

We'll all miss good 'ole Bill. NOT!

Good riddance to him!

Your corgis sound great! You certainly have a lot of experience with them.

When we move to a warmer climate, we *might* get a dog. Not sure yet. I'll keep your info in mind, thanks. :-)
