DeSantis and other Republican Governors need to do all they can to drive the bottom feeding democrats (welfare families, homeless, illegals) to flee their states for solid blue states. Give the Blues some of their own Cloward-Piven medicine.

I’m thinking along the lines of giving them bus tickets to the left coast or New England and let those losers overload those states social welfare departments.

Andrew Gillum could have been the first African American governor in the history of Florida.
***************
He would have been the first Socialist governor in the history of Florida.

I had no problem with him being Black. I had a lot of problems with so many Floridians voting simply because he is Black. Identity politics and racial division have no place in the voting process.

He was judged a Socialist by the majority of Florida’s voters. He was not rejected because of the color of his skin.

Same here. Gillum is a smooth talkin’ slickster in the Ohole mold. I got the creeps first time I saw him on TV...just like Obammy some years back.
He is an avowed socialist and a communist in mindset. Scary thing is how close the race was.......

Gillum ran on plans to make Florida a sanctuary state, to implement an income tax, and to turn the Florida Supreme Court deep blue progressive. The prospects of those changes were too repugnant to Floridians. Not really. Most Floridians did not know these things about Gillum. The media made sure of that. That's why he came a whisker from winning...

Yes, exactly.

It is the media against the people.

we should turn politics into a format like ‘the voice’ where you don’t get to see them, you only get to hear what their policies are. Everything would change if that’s the case.

no reference to:

gay

woman
black
yada yada

Florida is different than many states because we have a huge influx of Over Taxed New Yorkers, and OVER-TAXED New Englanders that what creates the mess down here in my adopted home. I can site many cites that were made into cites because of overtaxation only to be made a city and then in the space of 5-6 years be a bigger overtaxed city. 5 come to mind in Broward county alone,,,Understand only 5 counties are democrat controlled. Statewide elections are run by county not the state. The state is a overseer and there job is to take the results given them by the 65 County Supervisor of elections. Which contain 6,111 precents. Here are the totals by % of 3 of the 5 democrat counties, Miami-Dade 56% of registered voters voted, Broward County 54% of registered voters voted (Normally only 24-26% vote) Pa;m Beach County 61% of the registered voters voted...Source Ft Lauderdale News Paper Sun-Sentinel.....

“The fact that such an obvious socialist Leftard came within a hair’s breadth of winning does not bode well for the future of FL or the USA.”

As somebody mentioned up this thread, Bush barely won FL in 2000. Remember hanging chads? Close races appears to be the norm in FL.

"Andrew Gillum could have been the first African American crooked Commie governor in the history of Florida"

What kind of idiots vote for someone like this? That this election was razor thin makes my head spin.

I think this is identity politics in action. This will cause the US to split apart, what with electing these criminal frauds.

To clarify on your comment about felons voting, please stop being so derogatory without regarding the facts. The “felons” who have served their time, completed the numerous parole requirements, etc. etc. etc. should be able to vote again as thy have paid their dues to soiety. murderers, sex offenders, etc. ARE NOT COVERED by this law. I voted FOR the law as I do believe in redemption. I do NOT believe in eternal punishment for a mistake.
