President Trump ought to really get under their skins: go back to the way the press was handled before Teddy Roosevelt gave them space to do their “job”. Might make them remember there are no laws regarding their treatment by any administration. Wanna ask the President a direct question? Nope, and get the hell out of the White House for trying. Ah, the good ol’ days...

The arrogant stupidity of these people is beyond anything reasoned or reasonable. Why should someone who has repeatedly refused to show any respect—or any courtesy—to his host, expect to be re-invited?
Being employed by a media company is not a license to ignore the element of acceptable behavior. The reporter in question, as indeed, his claque of supporters, are a fit subject for humor but certainly not credibility!

Just escalate it to see if they’ll quiet down:
Press battery charges against Acosta, and arrest him.

Trump needs to come up with a good nickname for The Accoster.

Would love to have seen PDJT come down off that podium and tell Acosta, that you never touch one of my staff and to get the hell out of the briefing room. Hope that Acosta would be stupid enough to put a hand on the President and watch the secret service take him down.

The “reporters” should be required to sit and remain silent until called upon by the President...Anyone speaking without being called upon should be ejected...Anyone speaking after receiving answer to their ONE question should be ejected...Anyone interrupting either the President or the “reporter” who was called upon should be ejected....Anyone being disrespectful to anyone in the room should be ejected...
Two ejections and you are refused entry to any press conference again...

I dont know if anyone else caught it, but it sure looked like the President was coming out from behind the podium. Me thinks to kick Acostas ass. Just my observation.

If these arseholes in the press (Acosta) feel empowered to refuse to surrender the microphone and act like spoiled children, then the WhiteHouse has no choice but to treat them like children and not allow them to hold the microphone in the first place. Time to install a boom microphone, or train the interns to hold the microphones and not allow the press members to control it. I don't give Acosta a pass on this. Decorum called for him to surrender the microphone and he refused. If the intern were my daughter and I were present, Acosta might have been surprised at how his little game of microphone tug-of-war ended.

I agree. Acosta should have been beaten to a bloody pulp for touching the intern and not just politely escorted out of the White House.
