No!
Mr. Trump is the POTUS. If he wants to admit someone to the White House, he can - but most of us cant get in. No one has access to the presence of the POTUS as a matter of right. If Mr. Acosta is unhappy about being banned, he has every right to complain - and the president has every right to ignore him.
If other journalists presume to tell Mr. Trump who he can and cannot exclude from his presence, that is their right - but it raises questions about the independence of journalists from each other. The First Amendment exists to assure that the government does not homogenize journalism, and the Sherman AntiTrust Act exists to assure that no private institution centralizes control of any market - journalism not excluded. The MSM - the AP and its member journalism outlets - looks exactly like an institution which homogenizes journalism, which is precisely what the First Amendment assays to preclude.
I’m supposed to be shocked? /s
Sunny Hostin claimed that the young woman who was trying to do her job by collecting the microphone from Acosta was guilty of assault.
SHE was guilty of assault.
HER.
What’s shocking about that? Of course that’s what they would say. What I say, is that it was long overdue.
It is possible to ask questions without being a total jerk. The man is a thug in a suit, although that’s an insult to thugs everywhere.
Both of these organizations imply Acosta is a journalist. He’s not.
