Democratic legal teams kicked into action Thursday in Florida, demanding a recount they insist will ultimately declare Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson the winner and with defeated Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum hedging his concession.
Mr. Nelson had already signaled his intention to fight the results, but Mr. Gillums surprise announcement further roils the electoral waters in the Sunshine State.
Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis, a strong ally of President Trump, beat Mr. Gillum, the left-wing mayor of Tallahassee, in the unofficial results and Mr. Gillum conceded shortly before midnight last Tuesday.
But in a brief statement Thursday, he appeared to waffle on that.
On Tuesday night, the Gillum for Governor campaign operated with the best information available about the number of outstanding ballots left to count, the statement read. Since that time, it has become clear there are many more uncounted ballots than was originally reported. Our campaign, along with our attorney Barry Richard, is monitoring the situation closely and is ready for an outcome, including a state-mandated recount.
The statement provided no information on the size or location of these uncounted ballots, but they echoed claims made Thursday morning in a conference call the Nelson campaign arranged with Marc Elias, an election lawyer with the powerhouse Democratic firm of Perkins Coie.

Here we go. I was wondering if he would do this.
I’m sick of this fraudulent s**t!!!
I guess the Al Franken ballot express showed up!
The GOP better start getting their lawyers out there ASAP.
I sure they will “discover” thousands of ballots, all cast for Democrats, that were missed in the original count.
He’s been told Palm Beach and Broward can manufacture enough votes.
Ballots have now been printed and are sitting in someone’s trunk just waiting to be discovered.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
If he’s not within .5% of what’s officially cast, tell him to pound salt, Pam Bondi. We need Pam Bondi to quash any liberal shenanigans in the sunshine state.
Assign one person to personally verify every ballot and registration. Throw out every precinct where the numbers dont match. It should take a decade or so. In the meantime the winner can take the position.

Looks like a great opportunity for the current Fl gov to validate the voter rolls to insure that only legal votes count.
For the first time in my adult life I was concerned about voting.
Broward resident here. First the scanner rejected a couple of my pages due to bent corners. I didn’t bend the corners.
Secondly certain people had to use certain scanners. One poll worker said use any scanner yet the other one says only this one. And the poll worker was the son of a whacked dem neighbor. And I’ve been told he is dishonest.
And SHOULD. Publicly and Posthaste!
