President Trump on Sunday blamed the FBI's search of the office of his former attorney, Michael Cohen, for causing his longtime associate to turn against him.
"Remember, Michael Cohen only became a 'Rat' after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started. They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
The president questioned why the FBI did not "break into" the offices of the Democratic National Committee or his 2016 campaign opponent, Hillary Clinton.
The FBI in April raided Cohen's home, office and hotel room, seizing troves of documents and computer files. The search warrants for the raids came in part based on a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller's office.
Cohen last week was sentenced to three years in prison for multiple federal crimes he pleaded guilty to months after the raids, including bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance law violations he said he committed at Trump's direction when he paid two women to keep quiet about alleged affairs with the president.
At his sentencing, Cohen said he took "full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to, the personal ones to me and those involving the president of the United States of America."
Cohen, who once said he would take a bullet for the president, told ABC in an interview after his sentencing that he acted out of loyalty to Trump. He added that Trump knew the payments were wrong.
Trump said he did not direct Cohen to break the law, and argued that Cohen's crimes were "all unrelated" to him other than the campaign finance violations, which the president insisted were not criminal.
The president has regularly lashed out at his own law enforcement agencies and officials while in office. He has repeatedly attacked Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, lambasted former FBI Director James Comey and targeted numerous other Justice Department officials.

If the FBI did not have a warrant, all the evidence they found should be tossed.
Former FBI Director James Comey on Sunday blasted President Trump for “lying” after Trump tweeted about an FBI raid of his former lawyer, Michael Cohen.
In a tweet shared with a screenshot of Trump’s tweet, Comey also criticized Republicans for not speaking out against the president.
“This is from the President of our country, lying about the lawful execution of a search warrant issued by a federal judge,” Comey tweeted. “Shame on Republicans who don’t speak up at this moment — for the FBI, the rule of law, and the truth.”
Trump tweeted earlier Sunday that the FBI “broke into” Cohen’s office when they seized documents in April from his home, office and hotel room.
Typical heights of ignorance and bias from these seditious losers .
I believe he became a rat after the FBI raided a storage unit that they were unaware of — until a reporter told them about it.

Apparently this FBI, this DOJ and this Special Counsel can apply for whatever they need after the fact and No One will object.
Plus what is the probable cause here? Sounds to me like a clear violation of the 4th amendment but sadly being that we no longer have anyone representing us in Washington other than Trump and a small handful of people, it seems once again the commies will get away with this BS. Actually they already have haven’t they. They indicted, tried, convicted and sentenced Cohen already, even had him plead guilty to something that is not a crime and not ONE SINGLE SOLITARY PEEP from the “Republican” party which BTW supposedly holds both houses besides the WH. If the commies can get away with this crap with the “Republicans” holding both houses, and the WH and the AG office, imagine what they will get away with if that wasn’t the case.
Was it “lawful” for McCabe to suggest Flynn shouldn’t have an attorney present? Seems to me their was a conspiracy to set a perjury trap on the NSC director of the POTUS.

Exactly, and this is the response Trump should be broadcasting widely, along with pointing out Comey’s disregard for the law when he leaked memos to his reporter friend, and allowed Strzrok to interview Hillary not under oath, and then craft the FBI letter on her case.. Do not, under ANY circumstances let untalented unqualified scum like Comey set the narrative.
From before Trump was elected they were trying to ruin him. Hillary made a remark at one point, during the campaign, about Trump winding up in prison. I think that was the plan. They didn't just want to beat him in the election. They wanted to destroy him, because he challenged their pathetically unjustified lofty images of themselves, and insulted their narcissistic egos. They are, as a group, among the most pathetically unethical and marginally talented people ever witnessed in public life.

I am 100% behind DJT. Why does he do nothing? He has lured these morons into a trap and then lets it all go away. Not one inquiry into HRC. If they just started one it is much too late.
DJT is being too cute by half. Has everyone thinking there will be actions against the DS but keeps making excuses for no action. Last was HWGB died so they cancelled all actions. Newest is “Saving it for 2020”. DJT is POTUS. He should have his DOJ making legal argument for him. Meuller is corrupt and will never pay unless POTUS speaks up
I’d like to know what was in that search warrant that was the basis of the probable cause to search an attorney.
I have not seen any arrests or even charges against the democrats. Nothing but complaints from him tweeting.
