Guess who the 1 vote against was? Gillebrand. LOL..
LMAO!
No longer employed by the federal government. Why should former employees get continued access to classified material?
The supposed reason for continuing access rights is that the govt. could decide to re-hire the individual, or want them to see classified material. But it also sets them up to be leakers, etc. since they can legally still access classified material.
Any serious corporation would have security escort him off the grounds with any personal effects in a cardboard box.
He’s a retired 4-star and a SecDef, not a PFC after 4 years duty.
He served his country since 1969. How about you?
Mattis is an insubordinate POS.
All caps and large font. Your point means so much more now.
The original poster was stating to strip him of his clearance.(as in punitive removal), not let it be inactive due to lack of necessity.
Let me get this straight. He lasted through the Obama years when flag ranked officers were run out of office right and left for not being extreme left enough. But when it comes to Trump, he simply takes the position of let’s just agree to disagree? ...and if not, feels he has to resign, though he didn’t feel compelled to resign when his peers resigned, right and left in the face of the Deep State and Obama?
It’s been said, the only difference between civilian and military obedience to direction by one’s seniors, is that in the civilian life, you get fired, and in the military, you go to jail.
In senior leadership positions, the junior obeys the senior position. It isn’t a time to argue and debate as to who is better, not is it a time to simply agree to disagree.
You either support your chain of command or you are the problem. I support Trump and reinforce his position.
I am vindicate a$$hole so I’d like to see a deep stater get defanged for once. I’d LOVE IT.
“He served his country since 1969.”
And that’s commendable, but it doesn’t make him forever immune from criticism.
.
Great sentence. Have another scotch...
I don’t like the end of Mattis’ career, especially his resignation letter. However, suggesting punitive security clearance removal is petty nonsense, and an abuse of power. I’d prefer not be the same as Democrats. Numerous people here are losing their grip.
Mattis needs to be made an example of what happens as a result of deep state insubordination. Defang him. Revoke his clearances.
his new employer, the United Nations Human Rights Council...
Seriously??? This is for real???
If anything is true in the Q anon series, then either the entire episode is a feint or a manifestation of which side of the DS he really supports.
Mattis is no longer employed by the federal government, therefore his clearance should be deactivated just like it is for everyone else.
p
Isn’t that the date the EO kicks in??
