One thing I’ve always noticed about how troops are around Presidents- Under both Bushes and Trump, the troops are excited and happy to see them there. When Clinton or Obama was there, they’d stand at attention or at ease and only smile because they were ordered to.

The Secret Service also forbade the trip.
