New slogan for driving people away from socialist dems:

There’s no problem democrats can’t fix by taking more of your money.

A Senator’s job is whoring to get enough money to get just enough votes to be challenge proof against ones’ Primary and General opponents.

Doesnt Dickie know? Chicago Mayor Rahm_Emanuel was named Mayor of the Year. Rahm became Mayor after being Obama's COS and Obama's rep in the US Treasury at the same time......Rahm was Bill Clinton's top aide, fundraiser and a Goldman Sachs lobbyist al at the same time. Rahm's a major talent.

"Thanks to me, you are now in total control, of the US Treasury, Mr President."

Federal funding for Chit-cago?

Naw. A federal nuke strike would be much more effective - and cheaper. Then they can bulldoze the rubble and start over.

I guess Dopey Dick didn’t notice all the street shooting and killing going on in Chicago during the eight years of the Obama tragedy.

If they really want to clean up Chicago’s gang shootings they should send in sniper teams. No amount of federal aid will help as long as the thugs doing the shootings run free.

This is Durbin’s way of blaming Trump for Chicago’s problems, which have been brought on or exacerbated by Dem policies.

I say we require all Democrat politicians to patrol the streets in the worst neighborhoods.... either the crime rate goes down or the Democrat pols get killed off by their “constituents”..... win/win solution.

Traitor Dick “Turbin” Durbin has always been 100% against the Feds interfering with local [especially Chicago] Police Departments. Illinois Dems cannot have anyone try to muscle in on their no bid contracts, friends and relatives receiving sweet consulting deals, etc. No way is Durbin or Rahm ready to share the corrupt $$ with anyone else.

The same old democrat answer.. give “those people” more money and hope like hell they become more civilized and don’t kill each other so much.

That started in 1964 and it has never worked so why do they think it will work now?

Trump should send in Federal Troops! The RAT government there could not find it’s a$$ with both hands and a flashlight, but they would spend billions trying everything except proven methods for dealing with Chiraq.

Yes. Trump can increase the spending, but not listen to Durbin’s blather on what to spend on.

Right, because what's needed to stop the murders in Chicago is to give the Democrat Machine politicians in the most corrupt city in American more federal tax dollars to play with.

I pity the children of Chicago, but not their parents - in a democracy, people get the government they deserve.

That’s why the Founding Fathers did not want a democracy.

On top of that, Woodrow Wilson once said that socialism and democracy are “one and the same”. So if one embraces democracy, one has gotten what they “deserve” especially if one has not determined exactly what democracy is versus a republic.

“Yes. Trump can increase the spending, but not listen to Durbin’s blather on what to spend on.”

I actually don’t think that there is anything to be gained by taking on Chicago’s sorry record for killing each other. Trump doesn’t get any votes from Chicago, and you can be sure that the RATs would try for all they are worth to try and paint any Federal intervention with a racist brush. The people who live there have to finally choose elected officials who will have the fortitude and the support to make improvements. As it stands, there’s really no way to make any progress there. It’s Afghanistan without the Afghans.

We spend more than 99% of world’s countries on K-12 education. And yet we are at the bottom among developed countries in student scores.
***********************************
At fault: School boards, curriculum, school admins., school teachers and their unions, college BA degrees in Education and the poor job they do to graduate the “easy pass” students that become teachers.
