“Civil servants are angry at both parties for closing the government and putting thousands on furlough. We’re all angry at Congress and the president for playing politics rather than paying attention to what’s best for the country. “
I worked as a pharmacist in the VA for years. During a government shutdown I was considered essential personnel and was required to work as I should be. When the government was reopened we all got our back wages, no problem. The non essential personnel were sent home and also collected back wages for the time they did not work. They loved government shutdowns.
All government personnel should be considered essential and this farce would end. Those that are considered non essential are mostly liberals. The essential are mostly conservative.
The liberals most welcomed a shut down. The local banks would even give “emergency short term loans” to these people based on the fact they knew they would receive their pay after sitting on their asses for a week or two. It sucks.
Oddly as a pharmacist I could have not shown up for work and also received my back pay. I showed up for work. To not do so would have been unethical.
There was an error.
This is how the minds of the Left do “logic”.....don’t step on the article - it’s smelly....
