So, how are they going to make gay or trans people feel safe in Sharia-controlled areas?

What European state has a First Amendment establishing a right of "free speech" not subject to regulation by the government?

None, that's what, so complaining about infringement of "free speech" in states where the concept does not exist is a waste of time.
