Historically... Reality is we started the problem and have been perpetuating it since 1953. Why?

If you can, recall that a conference to prosecute WW II was held in Tehran. Iran was a vital corridor for supplies delivered to the Russians.

By bringing up 1953, you ignore the fact that things change. You are attempting to insert irrelevancies into the current reality

From a quick look, it doesn’t look like Iran has any sort of oiler or supply vessels, not sure if they have unrep capabitities, should have some vert rep capability. Not sure what the range of the ships are. Any port visits scheduled?

All those sanctions must be working well, if they have money to send warships around the globe!
Oh, wait! $150 million? On pallets, you say? Oh!

“Meanwhile on Free Republic, many support Iran by constantly demanding we get out of theMiddle East.”

That’s quite a stretch.

It’s everything but irrelevant. There has been an on going toxic environment in US/Iranian relations with the Iranian PEOPLE, not government administrations, since the Truman administration embraced Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in the late 1940’s to protect private British oil interests and the M16/CIA coup in 1953.

The list of repeated “bipartisan” mistakes on our end has perpetually continued up through Obama’s administration. No matter how ugly and ignorant the dog is, when you keep kicking it over and over it will indeed come to hate you. Cause and effect. We need to also address “why” the dog hates us, this is just as important as how dangerous the dog has now become or we will continue to keep repeating these same actions.
