WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A partial U.S. government shutdown over President Donald Trumps demand for $5.7 billion to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border entered its 22nd day on Saturday, making it the longest shuttering of federal agencies in U.S. history, with no end in sight.
Trump, holed up in the White House with Congress adjourned for the weekend, warned of a much lengthier impasse and blamed the Democrats.
We will be out for a long time unless the Democrats come back from their vacations and get back to work, he tweeted.

I got in free at a national park. :)
Me too. And I am a federal employee.
I always do,got a little fishing spot I like;)
Having no impact on my family from California to the East Coast.
Hugh manatee! Like thats a bad thing.
the Coast Guard is in this group. They need to be moved to the Navy Department and out of Homeland Defense. After all, in wartime they do submarine hunting, provide protection to convoys, mann landing craft on invasions, small boats on the Vietnam rivers, etc. They are presently at the forefront of our war on drugs. They confiscate enough drugs in one year to pay for the entire CG force in any year.
Que the microscopic violin.
Looks like Reuters is upset that Trump is making all sorts of firsts.
First time Democrats have seen the virtue of small government. Good.
Make any needed corrections and make the cuts permanent. Then cut more!
Im going to go apply for Welfare Monday in my Border Patrol Uniform...lol
Interesting. The real economy is rumbling right along with ever increasing activity.
The fakeness of the modern media is remarkable.
And the leaches in the federal government, with their wonderful benefits, are not worried. They will all get back pay and get to count this as a free vacation. Just one more benefit of being a government leach.
Good. All the “workers” are “nonessential”. Let them get real jobs in the private sector...if anyone is stupid enough to hire them.
Burn it all. Keep it shuttered
Stand strong Mr. President.
We need that wall.
It shut down !
