Ronald Reagans Eleventh Commandment reads, Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.
The former presidents sage advice went ignored once again last week by the freshman Utah Senator Mitt Romney when he published his anti-Trump oped in The Washington Post. Romney didnt have a problem accepting Donald Trumps endorsement for Senate to get the job in the first place, but hey, thats politics, right?
Like most positions Mitt Romney takes, I guess he was against Trump before he was okay with Trump before he was against him again.
Romney lamented in his article that the president hasnt changed his leadership style since taking office. In other words, he is upset that Donald Trump continues to act like Donald Trump.
His conduct over the past two years, Romney writes, particularly his actions last month, is evidence that the president has not risen to the mantle of the office.
Imagine that. A politician who arrives in Washington, D.C., and governs exactly like he campaigned. For the entrenched politicians reading at home, this is called authenticity. Voters seem to be really digging it these days.
The Romney Rant paused to acknowledge presidents multiple victories on criminal justice reform, tax cuts, deregulation, and appointing constitutional conservative judges. America is getting back to work, and the economy is booming. For the first time in years, the number of jobs exceeds the number of Americans looking for work.
Not a bad scorecard, considering the Trump administration faces daily assaults in the press and from both sides of the political aisle in the Capitol building. These policy achievements were made despite Congress, not because of it.

Ambitious Mitt Romney, new senator from Utah, flaunted his vainglorious ambitions in an odious op-ed attack on Trump.
Mitt was dying to let the nation and the world know that he is ready to become president once Trump is removed from office.
Romney is now known as "Captain Standby," he's in the bullpen warming up to save the country and the world from Trump.
THIS JUST IN---Democrat ex-Sen Harry Reid is pushing for Mitt Romney to challenge Pres Trump in 2020.
With a straight face, Reid said despite their differences he likes Romney b/c hes a moderate voice the Republicans need.
Reid explained he said Romney hadnt paid his fair share of taxes, not "no taxes" and was "glad" he raised the issue.
Now we see Romney's roll-out plan.....
<><> he jumps out of the box to lambaste Trump in an op-ed piece,
<><> that was supposed to knock-out Trump and set Mitt up as the only viable 2020 candidate............
<><> Mitt had "nice guy endorsements" from people like Reid lined up to advance his ambitions.
Cant wait to see what Mitt planned next (smirk), but its really nice to see an ambitious plan like Mitt's flop bigtime.
Trump has been keeping his promises. I can’t think of any other politician who has done a better job of that . Too bad Utah was more enamored with a famous name than a better man or else Romney’s primary opponent would have won .
Ambitious Mitt Romney, new senator from Utah,..............who LOST a presidential election is bashing President Trump who WON an election........
Romney is a Democrat in RINO clothing.
Mitt McFlake. The Senate’s Newest Flake.
Hopefully, Utah voters will give Mittens the Flake treatment in a couple of years.
Mitt is just a megalomaniac who wants to be President, but the man has No true values.
We finally got McCain gone and now we have Mini Mitt.
As I posted many times in 2012:
Romney = Øbama lite.
he cherishes the unHoly trinity of Me, Myself, and I.
Or as we say down on the farm:
New tractor, new spreader, same old $hit.
Country wisdom, cuz!
“...Romney is now known as “Captain Standby,” he’s in the bullpen warming up to save the country and the world from Trump.”
I’d rather have Donald Duck.
This turd continually makes me glad Obama won.
