THE WHO ANNOUNCE 2019 NORTH AMERICAN MOVING ON! TOUR
29 DATES SET FOR SUMMER AND AUTUMN LIVE TREKS
ICONIC BAND ALSO SET TO RELEASE THEIR FIRST ALBUM OF NEW SONGS IN THIRTEEN YEARS
The band will share the stage with orchestras at marquee venues including Fenway Park, Madison Square Garden and Hollywood Bowl
For Who fans everywhere, the announcement of a brand new tour means only one thing: the worlds most untameable rock band is about to deliver the goods once again. Never ones for nostalgia, singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend will be unleashing the combustible force that is The Who, with symphonic accompaniment this summer and fall in 2019.

Any Who fan must read Daltrey’s autobio. Much better than Townshend’s IMHO.
Why not? The Stones and Billy Joel are touring (separately) this summer.
But how do you replace John Entwhistle and Keith Moon and still be The Who?!
Some now call them, "The Two". Yes, it's basically now nothing more than a Tribute Band. But as long as they can do it, why not?
They’re not a rock band; they’re mods.

...But how do you replace John Entwhistle and Keith Moon and still be The Who?...
Zak Starkey was taught the art of drumming by Keith Moon. He does a great job on Keith Moon licks when he plays with the who.
Peter Frampton was OK. That’s about it.
Maybe he should play bass.

I had ears that worked...
They kept going without Moon by hiring Kenny Jones of the Small Faces.
Rumor had it that they wanted Rat Scabies of The Damned due to his having a similar drumming style to Moon.
Don’t miss Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band....it’s the last tour.
Moonie almost joined Led Zeppelin. He played with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones on “Beck’s Bolero” and that was right around the time Page was in the process of forming Led Zeppelin, and he definitely wanted Keith Moon.

For years I didn’t know they did “Eminence Front”.
A local Boston radio station has a quiz every day, $1000.00 prize if they get all correct. The woman today didn’t and her consolation prize was 2 tickets to The Who concert at Fenway Park.
To say that she was thrilled would be an understatement.
Roger Daltrey is in better shape than most guys half his age.
He looks like a little old lady now.
LOL, all rock stars wind up looking like old lesbians.
