The filibuster rules are just that...silly Senate rules. It’s not in the Constitution.

Mitch should dump it or resign and get the hell out of the way.

I didn’t open the link, but whether it references Ann Coulter, or not, she needs either to stop with the multiple personality thing of stabbing Trump in the back whenever he doesn’t dance to the exact beat she wants, then being his best pal when he jumps through HER hoops, or just get it over with and go full Mitt Romney. It’s no wonder she’s not married -— who would attach himself to a woman who turns into a harpy, if demands that everything be HER way are not met, alternating with a love feast, as long as EVERY last detail suits her?

I’m sure McConnell is not the one standing in the way of abolishing the filibuster. There are a lot of Republicans who would oppose that. It only takes a majority to abolish the filibuster and they obviously don’t have it or they would have done so already.

He’s the Majority Leader. I wonder how much power VP Pence has as Senate President.

The Senate leadership doesn’t really have that much power. Not as much as the House. But he does have more power than the other Senators obviously. The Senate is more designed to kill bills than it is to pass them.
