I’m not sure what group they are connected to outside of Syria, but they are listed here with an Orthodox connection.
Brethren Christian Community Opens First Congregation in Kobanê- Aleppo
(I’ve not found a connection with what I more commonly think are Brethren Churches, which are Mennonites)
Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus is a good example. A pattern from the beginning. Christ never sought out the rich and powerful, but did powerful work through unlikely people.
