WaPo Bozo ad....

Whoa whoa whoa, one sec. Even they themselves don't make a claim to bring America the truth. Not in the ad, at least. They say nothing about the truth. They claim only to gather the facts and bring you the story. Apparently two separate things in their eyes, as they are mentioned separately. They wouldn't need to drop $6,000,000 on a commercial if they died telling the truth every once in a while, or ever.

Text below:

When we go off to war

When we exercise our rights

When we soar to our greatest heights

When we mourn and pray

When our neighbors are at risk

When our nation is threatened

There's someone to gather the facts

To bring you the story

No matter the cost

Because knowing empowers us

Knowing helps us decide

Knowing keeps us free.

Gather the facts. Bring you the story. They tell you what the story is. They tell you how to think about the facts. Because knowing the story - because understanding the story as only they present it - empowers us, and helps us decide. Helps us decide to act the way they want us to act.

No mention of "the Truth". If they simply didn't lie, or at least didn't get caught lying so often, then they wouldn't need to advertise at all. But they aren't about the truth. That's not what they're selling.

Bezos wasting 20 million is like me saying I dropped a penny and didn’t pick it up.

Why does Bezos think anyone would care.

He rich, he’s liberal. Of course he screws around.

With his wife getting half of everything, Laura Sanchez is going to be the most expensive piece of ass in history.

Stupid Washington Post ad.

They act like they are noble and superior — guardians of everything good. In reality, they are liars who hate this country and want bad things to happen to the people who make this country great.

Their FIRST problem is when they brag about going into journalism BECAUSE THEY WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD
Actually that’s OUR problem. They’ve certainly changed our world all right. And it’s a festering boil on the butt of humanity.

Instead, the Amazon owner had a last-minute commercial created for his Washington Post, with some all-star narration by Tom Hanks.

I screamed more at that stupid, lying commercial than I did during the game.

“Their FIRST problem is when they brag about going into journalism BECAUSE THEY WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD”

Agreed. Another commonly heard quote from would be journalists is that they want “to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable”.

When a person goes into journalism for that reason, it distinctly means they have an agenda - and that agenda is not always necessarily reporting the news as it should be.

Now don’t get me wrong. There’s a place for investigative journalism. If there are wrongs out there that need to be exposed, well then that needs to happen. But many of these journalists have no idea how to report the news in at least a fair and balanced manner.

That's the ultimate legacy of Watergate.

See, WASCWatch, I was thinking that, as well.

My beloved advises me that she won’t be able to touch anything that is out of the country and most likely out of CA.

My belief, unfortunately, is that CA the state proper, and the Divorce Lawyers in CA will manage to track it all down.

What does anyone else think?

Personally, since his wife was married to him before he got his wealth and he couldn’t manage to keep his body parts faithful, I am all for her getting 50%.

And if it were reversed, I’d be STILL all for the aggrieved spouse getting 50%.

The WaPo ad was well done. Too bad it was a lie, a headfake designed to give credibility to a Fake News agency.

But the Amazon Alexa ad? It was The Best commercial of the entire Super Bowl.

Washington is a community property state, so Jeff Bezos has no way out of giving up half of everything.
