I certainly distinguish fighting against the Soviets from the systematic murder of minorities within a country’s borders; the former was a matter of self-preservation for any country, the latter was just brutal murder - and in the two countries in question, the systematic slaughter occurred after they were occupied by Germany (in both cases, to prevent them from leaving the war/surrendering independently to the allies).

The regent Horthy of Hungary faced no war crimes trial after the war; the Allies (even the Soviets) felt he played no role in the murders, and he was a free man.

Nor should he, but members of the Arrow Cross did. Ferenc Szálasi leader of the Arrow Cross party since 1938 was executed. In Farrakhan’s case, neither he nor the Nation of Islam have any real political power. If they did, and the opportunity to run the nation presented itself, you’d have the same situation. Though they’d persecute far more than Jews. And though I despise them, Farrakhan and the NOI are Americans.

I have no problem executing Nazi puppets; the Italian king and Hungarian regent weren’t prosecuted because their countries (while function independently) orchestrated no such mass murders.
