“Rosenstein was serious when he offered to wear a wire and invoke the 25th Amendment. Obviously Trump was kidding when he asked the Russians to divulge Hillary’s emails.”

Oh no. That’s backwards.

Rosenstein was making a joke, and Trump was being serious. Ask any CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, NPR, PBS, NYT, WP, LAT (left out FOX because they’re obviously biased, unlike all the other reputable news oeganizations), DOJ, FBI, Democrat shill, and they’ll confirm. I learned this at Democrat Underground, and they would never, ever lie...my Democrat friends told me so.

I don't think it's normal, either.

The question is whether it is criminal to engage in this sort of thing. And I don't think I'm going out on a limb here when I suggest that it's NOT.

How do you know why Rosenstein did what he did?

1. He has said so.
2. I would have done the same thing.

So what. If Rosenstein had an issue with the statement he could have addressed it privately with his boss (the President) and the communications office could have issued a follow-up clarification.

Read what you just posted there and think about it again in the context of what transpired. You're saying the Deputy AG should address a matter privately after the President of the United States rolled it out in public on national television? That makes no sense.

As any competent lawyer will tell you, the time to address these things privately with a lawyer is BEFORE you make an ass out of yourself on national television, not afterwards.

Here's the only way Rosenstein could have dealt with this privately: "What the 'eff were you doing giving that kind of interview with NBC News anyway, you moron?"

One could argue you would have to be a moron to get involved in illegally wiretapping a presidential candidate who, if they won, would immediately find out you had been illegally wiretapping them.

That's true. The moron was strong all the way up the chain of command in that administration. That's what you get when you elect a jug-eared Kenyan exchange student as president, I guess.

It appears that he’s admitting to sedition, but he’s implicating as many as he can because he knows they have him dead to rights.

He’s taking Rosenstein down with him. Still really don’t know where RR is on all of this. He could be filthy too.

The thing that really stunned me was that McCabe should have felt so confident and protected that he could just come out and say that the DOJ had been conspiring to remove the President (just because they didn’t like him).

It goes beyond their hatred of Trump.

The corrupt FBI needed to commit an additional crime of removing Trump thru a coup via phony collusion charges to coverup their earlier crimes of helping Hillary to smear Trump during the campaign with the fake dossier. A dossier bought thru a money laundering scheme with Fusion GPS to hide payments to foreign interests. That along with the involvement of the FBI to actually promote thie garbage in the dossier as if it were real to force an investigation.

I have waited patiently for the latest Rosenstein-McCabe story to play itself out before responding to your latest nasty anti-Trump lecture.

I excerpted the above because it is from your own mind and typing fingers, even though you put it in quotes as though Rosenstein might have said it.

You profess to "love" the president and yet, as this imagined statement makes abundantly clear, you are a breathtakingly harsh critic of him. That you could even imagine a deputy-level appointed official speaking to the President of the United States that way is shocking.

Look, if you despise President Trump, fine. That is your right. But just stop pretending to be a fan, because your act is tiresome.

Interesting item at that article you linked:

Instead, Democrats strategically framed the dismissal [of Comey] as an attempt to obstruct the Russia investigation, and they lashed out at Rosenstein for his part in it.

They didn't have to try very hard to frame this, did they? President Trump gave them all the ammunition they needed in his stupid NBC News interview.

In 2016, Donald Trump became the first (and to this date, only) political candidate -- at any level -- that I have supported financially. That will almost certainly be the case in 2020, too.

That doesn't prevent me from calling him out when he blunders badly and undermines his own administration and his own agenda.

I really prefer the Donald Trump who calls out NBC News as a politically biased "fake news" media outlet -- not the one who carves out several hours of his valuable time to give them a freaking exclusive interview.
