Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to leave his role at the Justice Department by mid-March, a senior DOJ official told Fox News on Monday.
An announcement of who has been selected to replace Rosenstein could come as early as this week. A Trump administration official added that Attorney General William Barr has picked Jeffrey Rosen to serve as his deputy attorney general.
Fox News reported in January that Rosenstein was expected to step down in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition for Barr, who was sworn in on Thursday.

If Barr had the slightest interest in cleaning up DOJ/FBI corruption, he would bring someone in with administrative experience, who had also worked to clean up a corrupt police agency.

He should have been gone a long time ago. Trump has accused Rosenstein of "illegal and treasonous" activity. Reports of Rosenstein offering to wear a wire and record Trump have been known for a long time. Yet for some reason Trump never took any action against Rosenstein and allowed him to remain in DOJ for almost 2 years.
Hopefully, this is a mistake and the Jeffrey Rosen is this Jeffrey Rosen.
