President Trump suggested Monday night that former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe committed treason, making his case in a tweet that cited Fox News’s Sean Hannity, hours after lobbing similar claims at Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein.
Trump sent the tweet during Hannity’s nightly show, in which the host assailed McCabe for claiming that he and Rosenstein discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from power.
Quoting Hannity, Trump wrote, “’The biggest abuse of power and corruption scandal in our history, and it’s much worse than we thought. Andrew McCabe (FBI) admitted to plotting a coup (government overthrow) when he was serving in the FBI, before he was fired for lying & leaking.’” @seanhannity @FoxNews Treason!” @seanhannity @FoxNews Treason!
Trump basically just summed it up. They plotted to overthrow the government of the United States.
Why would lifelong government employees participate in such a thing? Ideology?
No, I don’t believe this was ideology. This, first and foremost, was and is, about power and money. Those people involved, including McCabe, had accepted the Clintons money and favors, advanced their lives and careers, and Trump was a threat to exposure of their illegal behaviors. They went all in. We the people should return the favor with a long rope on the White House lawn.

OTOH, the Goebbels Media suggested that Trump may have committed a crime, citing a former FBI official who turns out to be Andrew McCabe. So maybe Mulehead has to in order to buy time.

Thanks for posting - I had originally thought that McCabe et al’s actions were treason, but I now find that it was rather seditious conspiracy.
I agree that it isn't about ideology, per se. This is about an outsider winning the Presidency, and saying he was going to drain the swamp. The whole of government is a swamp, so a lot of people felt threatened.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT, MR. PRESIDENT? Yes, I’m shouting, because if President Trump doesn’t do anything about it, then nobody will. And somebody has to. This cannot be tolerated, from either party.
Going just by the constitution would a conviction for treason be tossed out by a fair-minded scotus?

"Fair-minded" and Supreme court with people like the "wise latina", leftist loon Ginsberg, and "I never met a restriction on government powers that I didn't hate" Roberts don't really belong in the same sentence.
At the least, new AG Barr should remove Rosenweasel from involvement in the witch hunt immediately, and he should review every aspect of it. Unless he is just the next Deep State coverup operative.
There should be no plea bargaining allowed on the charge of treason. When tried and convicted, the sentence should be a public hanging.
And let the carcasses be left to rot off the noose.
The entire cabal including the clintons must face prosecution and most need to see serious jail time. If this does not happen pretty much anything else is pointless. The next time they are back in power they will make sure the people have no say so whatsoever in government. Then it’s over and the festivities will need to start if we are going to live free again.
Hell has frozen over! Samantha Guthrie interviewed McCabe live this AM. She was really, really tough on him. If I heard it correctly, McCabe claimed that McConnell and Ryan were at meetings with legislative leadership where they were informed about the FBI investigation of the President!
Mueller is stalling for time
The President now has the wall and an attorney general. McCabe foolishly tried to build a defense for the coming indictment
