The only primary source cited for the 5-sigma claim, ref. #8, says only that tropospheric warming and stratospheric cooling aren’t due to solar output or volcanic aerosol loadings.

Science as I learned it in high school was all about facts and logic, and not at all about "ipse dixit.”
“Ipse dixit” translates literally to “he himself said it” - an appeal to authority. “Liberals” posture as opponents of dogmatism, but let someone with some nominal science credential agree with them, and any outrageous nonsense becomes “the gold standard."

Many economic models show that small warming of any kind will benefit the Earth, for example, by lengthening growing seasons and by lessening human mortality due to extreme cold. Separately, increasing concentrations of CO2 have enormously positive effects on the growth of crops and forests. Greening of the Earth from more CO2 is already being observed from satellites.
