“I haven’t decided anything yet,” Cuban told the Daily News. “We’ll see what happens. It all comes down to how things play out. It’s not something I feel like I have to do. ... But it’s something that if circumstances were right I would do.”
Cuban criticized the Democratic party for what he sees as a group that’s more focused on appealing to its base than independents and Republicans.
“If you look at the Democrats right now, there’s like a democratic gravity that pulls all the candidates to the same point,” Cuban said. “And it’s very difficult to show leadership in a situation like that because you can’t truly lead if you have to find an equilibrium between being a true leader for the people of your country vs. getting elected in your primary.
“None of those things are conducive to out-and-out leading the country.”

No, I think he believes a lot of people voted for Trump because they wanted to see what a non-politician could do. A businessman who was used to making decisions and leading. With Hillary so flawed, it became an interesting notion.
Now, in 2020, it remains to be seen if as many voters see Trump as flawed ala Hillary but also can’t stomach the extreme left of the “Free for All” party. If that happens, this could be another cycle for a 3rd party win.
I hope either Cuban or Starbux Guy runs.
It would make Trump a lock for the win.

You don’t think Cuban would syphon votes from Trump? Or do you just think he’d syphon more from the Dems? I don’t see it as a slam dunk. Though it could have a Perot effect where the winner comes in around 42% of the vote.

One of my frat bros played rugby with Cuban at Indiana Univ back in the late 70s. They are still good friends. He speaks highly of Cuban.
Cuban also has “me,too” issues because he let some of his NBA executives get away with a lot of sh!t.
