Amazon isn’t the only one fed up with New York’s ridiculous tax rates. Plenty of companies are packing their bags and looking for office space in states with more business-friendly policies. There’s just one problem: A lot of these top firms can’t stand the conservative laws that make their new homes so successful.
AllianceBernstein, another firm fleeing the Empire State’s stifling economy, just announced that it’s relocating its $70 million headquarters to Nashville. But before it moves, the CEO is warning Tennessee: It’s not a fan of religious liberty. And AllianceBernstein is proving it by fighting the state’s faith-based adoption bill.
“AB chose to move to Tennessee because we believe it is a welcoming state that is focused on growing jobs, incomes, and the tax base,” Chief Operating Officer Jim Gingrich said in a statement. But, “the bills being debated in the current session of the legislature send a clear message to certain constituencies that they are not welcome. Other states have tried to pass similar bills,” he claims, “and this has proven to be anti-growth, anti-job, and against the interests of the citizens of those states.”
Is that so? Because the last time financial experts checked, the most socially conservative states also happened to be the most prosperous. For years, places like North Carolina (No. 1), Texas (No. 3), and Georgia (No. 6) have topped Forbes’s Best States for Business list—despite high-profile campaigns for privacy, religious liberty, and life.
What these liberal CEOs don’t understand is that these favorable business climates only come from conservative legislators who understand that real freedom leads to economic growth. That’s why these red states are so enticing to companies, because their social values haven’t just built a foundation for workforce and family success—but thriving corporations, too.

I'd hardly call Missouri, Iowa and Illinois "Bible Belt" states. Two of the 3 are north of the Mason-Dixon line and Missouri isn't really considered a Southern State by most.

I’d be tempted to impose a relocation entry fee on select companies.
And yet all the Governors of these states will roll over and do the dying cockroach for these companies. They’ll talk about jobs, taxes, SMART growth, development and opportunities.
Two things happen...
The Governors and their buddies cash in on all the development and get fat and rich. So much so, that nothing will effect them.
There is no such thing as SMART growth. They’ll start slamming subdivisions, strip malls, apartment complexes up, so fast, it’ll make your head spin. Of course the infrastructure isn’t set up for any of that and the roads will be paved as fast as they can, creating one ginormous traffic jam. Atlanta is a prime example and an even better example is Cumming, Georgia. Traffic is an absolute nightmare.
The Governors will talk of all the jobs available. What they don’t say is, most of them will go to transplants from outside Tennessee. When that company makes its move, many of the employees, will go to Nashville and its suburbs and see the homes they can get for their dollar and will pack their stuff up and head there. They, then, will start to change the voting demographics in the states as Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, expand and become more densely populated. When that happens all the Northern Democrats and liberal hipsters that moved there, who live in the cities, will dictate what goes on in that state. Just like so many others.
And, if the CEO and Board don’t like the politics of Nashville and Tennessee, I’m sure there’s someplace else they could go. Why not go to North Carolina? That state turned Blue a while back and it’ll never go back. One of the first examples of Governors and Chambers of Commerce selling out their constituents.
A fork has been stuck in Nashville for it’s been done for quite some time. Blame everything you see going on down South and it’s steady transformation to the left on Governors, State Legislature’s and their greedy donors, trying to cash in on these invasions. That’s all it is. They promised these companies the world and told their constituents that there’d be more jobs than they could imagine.
Well, the company isn’t going to start over and train a completely new workforce. They’ll bring as many of their employees as they can. They’ll sell their houses for a lot more than they’re actually worth and buy something twice as big in the suburbs. New schools and soccer fields. Lower taxes. Mild winters. They’ll come in droves that it’ll look like a zombie invasion.
But, what is the one thing they do, that no one can stop.....They bring their liberal, democratic BULLSH*T with them and change everything. They are no worse than immigrants, legal or illegal, and refugees that come to the US and REFUSE to assimilate.
The CEO of this company is stating, in the faces of everyone in Tennessee, that he’s coming but he ain’t changing. And he’s bringing an army with him.

Tennesseans that I have as friends are very smart people. I have more faith they will know how to keep Wall Street trash from destroying their traditional southern culture.
People are waking up and nothing can stop that.
It’s a cancer spreading to urban areas everywhere.
