The super wealthy give large donations directly to the universities for favored consideration. The difference this time is the bribes went to a third party instead of directly to the university. Bribes disguised as donations to sham charities? The Clintons can tell you all about that.
If I were a diehard Democrat and wanted them to win, I’d give money to Rubio, Romney and Boehner too.

I m aware of the climates all ver sphere Cal, Arizona up to Utah, NM, texas. This is not about where we lived decades ago.
200 years ago LA climate was med climate especially the LA basin and down the coast. The basin is protected from the high and east deserts by the mountains. There were ponds. forests and the rivers flowed freely.
That’s not true anymore. No natural ponds, forests the population booms have destroyed much of the med environment.
While the temperature is more moderate than Palmdale and Riverside, it has many characteristics of the desert.
I believe Santa Barbara is a Med Climate

I suggest you alert the profs at Cal Tech that you’ve devised a new test to define climate classification. That one’s a doozy.
That may change the environment like you claim but it does not alter the climate.

The place was overrun by americans first. By the late 1960s the things I listed had gone away. If we hadn’t taken over other locations water, it would be a desert with about 10% of the people and no san fernando valley.

I went back to the LA Times articles including a hundred years ago written by otis Chandler the owner of the paper. He describes what made it a med climate. Those things are gone as i said.
There is a good article by a Cal Poly professor which make your case. I sell RE almost all over SoCal. When i see vacant lots or bare hills, it looks like desert. My last point.
20 million people tearing down forests and draining ponds can change a climate. Not all deserts are scorching hot. North Africa by the sea, for example. Is that desert or med in your understanding. I say desert.

It’s almost like this high profile anti rich power prosecution is a mini learning / training attempt to explain the Clinton foundation before it gets called into the news. People can understand this corruption of power and wealth exempting the powerful from the rules we have follow

I don't think they had that much money. And there were probably a lot of people better positioned to make that deal, and only so many deals to go around.
About a lot of the politicians kids getting into big name schools: if you're in the acceptable range of grades and scores and your parent is a famous politician they agree with, you're in. Even if you don't get into Harvard or Yale, you get into Columbia or Brown. If the college really likes the politician enough, they will even bend the rules for the kid, and if minority status is involved, it's even more of a sure shot.
So whether it's one of the Bushes or Chelsea Clinton or Meghan McCain or one of the Obama children, it's unlikely that any of them resorted to fraud, or even much overt string-pulling of their own to get in. It's another story if you're completely below the acceptable standard and they hate your politician parent.
