MANILA, Philippines One of the United States Navy's command ships docked in Manila last Wednesday for its first port visit in the country in three years.
US 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge arrived in the country's capital to reconnect with the Philippines as its last port visit was in 2016.
While in Manila, the US Navy personnel will participate in community service and cultural exchange events, including 7th Fleet band engagements, the US Embassy said.
Ah, good old Manilla. Geographically, it’s a beautiful place.
I haven’t been there since Navy days, back in the early 1980’s. There were areas of poverty, as in any large city.
The naval base is gone, but I hear many want it back now.
It kept a lot of folks employed. The Filipinos I met were great workers.
Yeah, if they’re serious about that
then they shouldn’t call it liberty.
So other than giving the globalists an orgasm, what does this do to enhance the security of the American people?
I never employed a Filipino, but I did have a guy who had been an officer in the Viet Nam navy. He still had his military mind, and it tickled me to be the occasional recipient of an “Aye, aye, sir.”
USS Blue Ridge is Comm Seventh Fleet
Comseventhflt.
Essentially nothing but radios and antennas.
And hondo dog.
My original orders out of boot camp was going to be that ship. Then, I got married.
Upon reflection, I should have kept my original orders.
Is that what they're calling it these days?
“Is that what they’re calling it these days? “
You certainly can’t tell the truth.
I’m waiting for HGTV to follow a couple females on a shopping trip during liberty. “Just look at the bargains...” .
With China acting like the petulant bully child in the region, it’s no wonder the Philippines want the U. S. Navy to come back.
It may give cause for China to rethink it’s treachery, or simply cause things to come to a head sooner rather than later than China had planned, better for us.
With China being the bully in the neighborhood, they want the US back now more than ever.
Is that what they call whorin’ and drinkin’?
Are there active plans to do so?
To return an active American Base in Manila?
I thought there was a plan maybe six or seven years ago, but have heard nothing else. With the current president being so
unpredictable and undiplomatic, I would not bet on it.
I know that he has been fighting the importation and trafficking of illegal drugs. just like our own president.
Hmm, maybe they shoulda thought of that 25-plus years ago....
Ferdinand Marcos threatened to kick us out and make a deal with the Soviet Union. What’s Imelda up to now?
While in Manila, the US Navy personnel will participate in community service and cultural exchange events...
Yes, yes I’m sure they will.
Hey joe, you no butterfly me!
Insert sound of flicking balisong here.
LOL That is not all they will participate in
Agree!!!
Did the hit anything going into port
