I went to Catholic school when we had real teachers.....life long teachers who loved what they were doing....

honestly I know of only one or two teachers that love their work and never want to quit.....I can't even include my sister in that small group.....

I taught in public schools - absolutely hated it. Taught homeschool, loved it so much. Now I teach 1:1 and love it, too. The classroom set up is the killer. I had 30 kids in 5th grade: 6 of them could not READ - so when I assigned ‘read this chapter’ they didn’t of course. Another 6 or so should have been in 9th grade, were bored silly. One on one is the only way to really reach/teach, imho.
