Good; Happy Birthday (whichever one it is). Will you have to travel far?
Shoo, if you want more eagles to watch, I can send you a link to one site with links to a BUNCH of ‘em. LOL
I can only keep up with some of them, especially once the storks get going in Europe. :-) They’re arriving back from migration now.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Did you get to drive the forklift today? How is your mixer coming along?
I believe they close for the winter like we do. By the time they open back up this Spring, you might be settled enough to get out to check out the area. Huntsville has a lot of neat stuff to check out.
For you, “break up” sounds like something better than the kind I experienced back in high school or college.
And define “bad stuff.” ;)
We’ve had a “lingering winter.” It’s been gray, cloudy and fluctuating highs in the 30s and 40s for it seems the last month. Oh, there have been a few isolated days where it got to 60, but we should be in consistently in the mid 50s by now. I should be putting the first dose of fertilizer on the grass, but that’s supposed to happen when the forsythia blooms. It should have happened by now, but not yet.
Not much snow this year, I only ran the snowblower like three or four times.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...is your shaded berm still melting? Are you and Penny starting to get out? Is Penny keeping her paws dry?
Yes, LUV told me about one of the Decorah eggs possibly being damaged. One of the eagle pairs in CA that we watch lost one of their eggs but the other one hatched a few days ago. A healthy, adorable lil young ‘un they have.
Good night and sleep well.
Keeping all appendages crossed for luck that you’ll have a gorgeous weekend to enjoy.
Heh-heh!
Yes, the first egg was damaged and Mom did away with it. She’s very tidy. It’s fun to have another eagleomaniac to talk to. LOL! [is that even a word?]
I haven’t checked on them tonight. Trying to catch up on TV shows I have missed.
Break up means the days and more and more nights are above freezing and the snow is starting to melt!!!
Spring is coming!! d:o)
Too much rain...flooding!
I’ve rarely seen the Decorah eggs because the cam’s not set up well for viewing them. The view is one reason I don’t watch that one much any more.
You’re right about Decorah being neat. Sauces Mom needs to take lessons from her. LOL
I’ve been making the nest rounds while watching TV, circling back to West End. Mom’s still not giving us a look at that hatching eaglet. I can hear it chittering though.
It’s daylight in Europe so I’m checking nests over there now.
The bowl is very deep, but every once in a while when she’s rolling them there is a peek. Depends on which cam is up when she gets up.
Neither cam is very high so it’s hard to see anything.
The worst are the FOUR cams on Baron’s and Blue’s nest. Not a one with a decent view! That’s why I don’t follow them at all. No point in watching when you can’t see anything.
Good evening/morning, CMS...still getting settled in?
I know. They seem to want to see lots of landscape instead of birds. LOL!
have been watching the Budapest babies eating. The oldest is trying so hard to be a tuffy but he misses his mark, and his head bobbles as bad as the youngest. :) But they both have eaten well.
Good evening/morning, radu...still dry? Any warmup?
Supposed to rain here tonight, but stay in the high 30s.
Not much sun today, so my chipped ice is still there, but I chipped some more.
Some of the landscape is really pretty BUT we do watch for the birds.
I watched the Budapest babies eat breakfast too. The younger one seems stronger today but both are weaker than the CA eaglets. West End’s, especially, were bobbleheads for only a few hours. I’m still amazed by them.
Hey there, Kathy. Did you get a good nap after you got home from work? :-)
I hope your temps do stay in the high 30s so you don’t have to drive to work on ice tomorrow.
There was a little rain around TN overnight and this morning but nothing here. It stayed mostly cloudy all day and there was a nasty north wind that made it uncomfortable. It’s in the 30s now.
No more rain in the forecast until Sunday night and it’s SUPPOSED to warm up a bit. We’ll believe it when we feel it.
