37 people according to Buttfeed. Kind of puts a kink in all those gun turn in stories, doesn't it? NZ isn't entirely full of sheep I assume. Also After Multiple Reports About New Zealanders Turning In Guns, Guess How Many Actually Did It? since FR won't let me post from Zero Hedge.

You can bet the Muslims won’t be “surrendering” their guns.

37? A single gun owner in Arizona could do that.

As another Freeper said, the Shire is surrendering to Mordor.

Given that the next Parliament might have a conservative majority that reverses Labour’s policies, that’s not entirely surprising. The one thing that will energize the anti-Labour vote is the murder of a gun owner during the gun seizure process, so Labour will likely tread lightly.

With their wording, it’s 37 weapons (not people), so you could be talking about just 12 guys with two, three or four weapons each that met the qualifications. It’s written badly because they listed only certain types of weapons in this banning effort, not all 1.2 million.

rellimpank’s rule:
—don’t believe anything the media or government says about islam, firearms or explosives—

Seems valid world wide...

The Weapons are Registered. The Authorities will get them one way or another.

Those NZ Gunowners who thought Registering their Firearms to placate their Government will be reaping what they sowed.

I’m old enough to remember the bumper sticker “First Registration, then Confiscation”.

I’m also old enough to remember “The Only Good Commie is a Dead Commie”.

As true today as it was in the 1950’s.

37

Come on guys, like Jeff Chandler said, a single gun owner in many states could do that.

Heck some FReepers I talk to could donate that many to a gun club and still have 50 :)

When it gets to thousands let’s talk.

1.2 million guns. 37 returned. On what scale is that a success?

We have enough real reasons to be annoyed or upset.

This FAILED endeavor isn’t one of them.

I hate to think of the horror to be inflicted on some of the most beautiful lakes in the world with the number of boating related gun losses over this weekend.

I remember people turning in guns after Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian immigrant. 1968 was NOT a good year to disarm yourself.

6.5 BILLION DOLLARS spent on the 2016 federal elections.

100 THOUSAND DOLLARS spent on Facebook ads by Russia.

37 guns for the whole country? You’d net about that many guns from most average cul-de-sacs in America, if you broke down the doors and seized them by force.

Looks to me like most Kiwis are ignoring the order to turn in their guns. Good for them.

Sheeple seems to be a timeless concept.

I was three when that happened. I can be sure of one thing: were gun turn-ins to happen now, I would not be participating.

37? That’s like 1 gun for every minute it took the cops to get to the shooting.

"As another Freeper said, the Shire is surrendering to Mordor."

Which it did (by proxy via Saruman), until the well-armed and trained Hobbits returned from Gondor.
