The Weapons are Registered. The Authorities will get them one way or another.

Those NZ Gunowners who thought Registering their Firearms to placate their Government will be reaping what they sowed.

I’m old enough to remember the bumper sticker “First Registration, then Confiscation”.

I’m also old enough to remember “The Only Good Commie is a Dead Commie”.

As true today as it was in the 1950’s.

As I understand it, firearms are NOT registered in NZ, but an individual must have the correct type of license to obtain one.

That's why the pinko-commie-lib-gungrabbing-babykilling-islamophile™ reclassified modern sporting rifles before a law was passed to ban them, since they know once the government debates the new law banning them gun owners will buy them up, and there is no way for the authorities to track them down.

“The Weapons are Registered. The Authorities will get them one way or another.”

When they ask for the weapons, tell the goons you lost them in a boating accident. As the nazi gestapo drives away, bring out the “lost” weapons and ambush them. Do that a dozen times, and the appetite to play gestapo will quickly fade away.

Incidentally, the number of government goons willing to go out on highly dangerous missions is severely limited. Most government employees are fat, low IQ squishes who are more keenly interested in collecting a pension, not playing gestapo.
