“Did Boeing program it?”

Or perhaps the FBI had a hand in the screw up.

They sure don’t seem to be narrowing it down. Elevators, computers...gee didn’t someone have a hotplate or soldering iron somewhere? Hey! maybe an old kerosene lamp...?

***************

Was some lady milking a cow, who kicked over the lamp?

“No one ever saw the movie “Backdraft”?”

This wasn’t a backdraft. This was more like a large charcoal grill or a chiminea with a large volume of air under the fire feeding it.

“911 was based on a movie where terrorists fly a plane into the White House.”

Uh huh, and what movie was that?

I watched a plumber set a brand new house on fire sweating pipe. I’ve also been sweating pipe on my 50 plus year old house right up against wood studs. The wood takes a while to catch fire then goes pretty much out as soon as the torch is pulled away.

Plus, a single piece of wood won’t burn. It must be touching other pieces to really get going. I’m assuming that the post and beams on the roof weren’t laid out like a campfire.

I’m surprised that a building like that doesn’t have a fire/security team. A couple of people making regular rounds of the building, especially at off hours, could have caught fire at the start.

There were a lot of smaller pieces up there in addition to the beams

But I have my doubts that they’ll announce they found them if they do. They might deem such an announcement would be too disruptive.

Well that's a sad comment on the state of affairs.

Computers do not make “glitches.” More likely, it was programmed incorrectly.

A “glitch” relieves someone of responsibility.

Notre-Dame de Paris: “It’s incomprehensible”

https://youtu.be/uI9v7rIu3t0 via @YouTube

[Benjamin Mouton, former chief architect of Notre-Dame de Paris, is surprised that the fire has taken such magnitude, so quickly.]

“ancient oak doesn’t burn like that”
Former Chief Architect of Historic Monuments in France, Benjamin Mouton

https://www.newswars.com/fmr-notre-dame-chief-architect-ancient-oak-doesnt-burn-like-that/

“Mouton also revealed that there are two watchmen on duty around the clock who monitor for any chance of fire, adding that the technical and security measures taken to protect monuments like Notre Dame are unprecedented.”

Well that’s a sad comment on the state of affairs.

I agree. If they find proof that it was arson, and they are able to arrest the arsonist, then any backlash, I think, would be limited. But if they find the proof, but can’t/don’t arrest the guilty party, then lots of innocent people could be hurt/killed and that would be, in my opinion, a good reason to keep quiet about it until a suspect can be named.

But I don’t buy the ‘short-circuit’ story or ‘computer glitch’ story at all—at least not yet. I don’t think investigators have been allowed to look at where the fire began. Everyone knows what everyone’s thinking. Putting out lame stories to try and get people to change their minds only encourages them to think that a coverup is in the works.

I myself, do not buy into the ‘cheese-eating surrender monkies view of the French’. They (at least French individuals) have shown a lot of back bone in dealing with terrorism. Give them time to sort this out. They may get it right.
