Throughout history many truth tellers have been pushed into the shadows. Sometimes they are the voice of the voiceless and the authorities would prefer the vox populi remain silent.
Ironically, the ones pulling the strings seem to dwell in the darkness of the shadows as well. You cant see them, but you can feel their power.
Shadow banning on Twitter is a tricky practice in which a users content suddenly disappears from news feeds and becomes less prominent, even in the feeds of their most dedicated followers. Its stealth. The user isnt notified that the algorithm views them differently. Without placement in the newsfeed, someone would have to seek out your Twitter page to find you instead of stumble across your tweet while mindlessly scrolling through their feed.
In the case of Michael Savage, it became apparent Sunday after being temporarily blocked last week following the burning of Notre Dame, that now he may join the rebels in the shadows. Some followers who used to receive notifications of his tweets on their smartphones no longer received them. He suddenly found his Periscope live broadcast was limited in the number of viewers.
There have been news reports of conservatives being shadow banned on Twitter. In some cases they no longer appeared in the auto-populated drop-down search menu on Twitter, which slashed their visibility on the social media platform. Even after this was exposed, Twitter denied it and several media outlets went along with them for the ride.

The cure would be worse than the disease.
It is time these companies were declared to be ‘PUBLIC UTILITIES’, AND REGULATED AS SUCH...........................
Talking in the public square?
Sorry, you can’t do that:
I own that square. Private property, and all that, ya know...
Go make your OWN public square. And patreon. And electrical wires. And electricity. And air.
Don’t be complainy.
The left is going after the ISPs and will attempt to shut conservative thought OFF the Internet completely. ...........
Freedom is of no concern to anti-freedom collectivists.
It’s easy to...
I will not be next.
I proactively banned Twitter and Facepuke from my sphere a very long time ago. My world has been a much happier place since then, I am happy to report.
I heard YouTube is about to start some kind of completely yuge lawsuit against ANY YouTube video maker who has ever used more than 1 SECOND of unauthorized material (e.g. music).
I heard it even applies to makers who are/weren’t monetized.
Yes. How do they differ from radio and television, phone companies, etc.?
You think a regulated Twitter would be any less liberal?
I admire you optimism.
They are going after the ISPs next. You won’t be able to access the Internet at all.....................
“The left is going after the ISPs and will attempt to shut conservative thought OFF the Internet completely. ...........”
A Matter of time only; we crossed the line of departure long ago/point ofno return!
They don’t. They provide a ‘public service’ and should not be allowed to discriminate..............
Not surprising. Savage’s motto is: Boarders, Language and Culture. Of course, the thought police would come for him
I won’t be. Nor will I end up in facebook jail. :-)
I’m shocked to hear that Savage wasn’t just plain old banned years ago. Oh well, at least it’s not the government.
I won’t be next because I never have been on Twitter and never will be. Its a cesspool.
If the government can make me bake a wedding cake for fags, then those tech companies should have to let me use their platforms for whatever reason I wish that is not criminal...............
Boarders?.........Well, that's what they have become...............
