Harrowing reports of a shooter at a synagogue emerged as victims called 911 in Poway, California at roughly 11:30 am local time this morning. San Diego Police quickly responded to the scene where at least four injured were transported to local hospital.
ABC10 reports that, "The incident was reported at the Congregation Chabad located at 16934 Chabad Way sometime before 11:30 a.m., the San Diego County Sheriff's Office twitter account reported.
"Deputies investigate reports of a man with a gun. Please stay clear of the area and allow deputies to safely do their job. Thank you for your patience and cooperation," said the tweet."
According to ABC10, the suspected shooter has now been detained and is being questioned by police. His motives are unclear.
ABC 10 notes, "The synagogue was hosting its Passover Holiday Celebration which was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., according to an event announcement. The celebration was to end at 7 p.m. with a final Passover meal."

Today is the last day of Passover for us Jews..very sad that this happened today. Not sure why Chabad of Poway did NOT have security(I only say this because someone goes in with military armor and no one stops him?) the death toll could have been much much worse if it was not for that border patrol agent and others who stopped this madman. He supposedly had an AR-15 yet he shot 4 people? Sounds like someone in that temple stopped him..Chabad tends to be Orthodox, pro Israel, Pro Trump, vote Republican..my thoughts and prayers go out to to Chabad of Poway

Video games need to be made illegal. They teach there is a thrill to kill. Also song writers need to find it down! I’ve asked my self why the change to violence. Video games obviously, music also in the 50s,60s,and 70s music was about love. Now its about violence.

Unclear motives they say. Well they want to shoot Jewish people during Passover. Could be a college professor given the amount of hate on Universities that is spread about Jews being in control.
