8chan — an online message board full of white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, Trump fanatics, and violent trolls —

I wonder if this writer has ever visited the 8chan site.

And when seconds count law enforcement is only minutes away.

Damned shame the people at the synagogue weren’t armed.

Buzzfeed is pronounced “BS Feed”

Upon opening the 8chan post, he found a manifesto that railed against Jews, praised the Christchurch and Squirrel Hill shooters, and said the mass shooting would be livestreamed on Facebook. One line in particular caught Colin's attention — a claim that the poster had set fire to a mosque in Escondido.

"So I highlighted that, searched Google, and the son of a bitch really did do that," Colin said. "That was what made me call the FBI."

Colin said he was hesitant to call the FBI or 911, thinking it might just be a troll — common on 8chan — or false alarm and authorities would just brush him off. Still, he called, and said they "took it really seriously."

“The FBI was great. When I got her on the line, it’s not like talking to a 911 dispatcher," he said. "She was familiar with 4chan and 8chan...and when I told her about the Escondido thing, she opened up the letter. It was all in like four and a half or five minutes."

Still, there simply wasn't enough time. The shooting began just minutes after he got off the phone with the FBI.

“[The shooter] posted at 11:00, and I called the FBI 1-800 number at exactly 11:15. I was on hold for like three and a half minutes, and then 8chan, the website, they deleted the post at like 11:20," Colin said, and provided BuzzFeed News with a screengrab showing he made the call. "So the damn thing was only up for 20 minutes before the administrators of the site took it down, while I was on the phone with the FBI, and then I knew for sure it must be legit.”

8chan has denied responsibility for their association with the shooter, instead trying to pivot the blame to the "fake-news media."

"The Poway shooter's post on 8chan was taken down NINE minutes after creation. There are only screencaps available and no archives exist since the post was deleted so quickly," the site tweeted the morning after the attack. "The loudest groups publicizing this crime and giving attention to this CRIMINAL are the fake-news media."

Colin thinks it's no coincidence that the post was up for such a short time.

"I guarantee the shooter didn’t post that until he was already in his car on his way down there," he said. "They know it’s too small of a window — that’s why he used his real name. It didn’t matter, they weren’t going to get to him.”

Now, Colin said he's rethinking his views on the First Amendment as it applies to the internet. “I used to think the First Amendment applied entirely to the internet," he said. "And now, I realize that the First Amendment is about the government putting you in a cage or killing you for what you say."

"I think these websites should be more heavily regulated," he added. "There should be a real-time way for the government to get your information."

"Once you have attack after attack after attack, how much are you going to put up with?” he said.

The manifesto includes the killer's hatred of Trump and hatred of Trump's followers.

The MSM is leaving that part out of their narrative...

I see they finally found a way to link it to Trump.

Never-mind that he went there apparently to spout garbage IN OPPOSITION TO what Trump supporters believe...

The twit thinks we should strip the first amendment and implement full on thought control for our own good.

This clown world is getting out of control.

What if the goal of articles like this is to have the government shut down the 8chan website and open its log files for review? That letter of the alphabet that must not be named posts on 8chan, and I've little doubt a cabal manhunt is underway for the author(s). Regardless of legitimacy, it has certainly been a thorn in the side of the deep state.

Orthodox Jews, and the sabbath — nobody would be packing unless there were an immediate identified threat.

This is where gentile Christians could be of help to their older brothers of Abraham.

My heart is breaking after today’s deadly shooting at Chabad Congregation in San Diego—on the last day of Passover… https://t.co/U6Bvc9Qab6

— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) 1556402839.0

Here are the responses to her disgusting exploitation of the tragedy:

“[Y]ou do realize people were shot at in their place of prayer and you’re saying ‘#nomorethoughtsandprayers,’”

“Guns are not the problem, remember the people that did something? they killed thousands without a bullet. The people that did something in Nice? Almost 100 killed without pulling a trigger, love is not using an attack to promote your anti gun agenda #nomorethoughtsandprayers,”

“You say anti Semitic things all day long you and your speech causes people to act in violent ways towards Jews. Now all of a sudden because a WHITE man shot up a synagogue with an AR rifle you all of a sudden care about the Jewish community. We don’t need your fake sympathy,”

Her claim that her ‘heart is breaking’ is nothing but a ruse to try to get more gun control and her ‘nomorethoughtsandprayers’ is an assault on, and insult to, those who believe and know God works when the righteous pray. Her continued attacks on Christianity and the Jewish faith is disgusting- and using a tragedy to insult us and push for more gun control is equally disgusting! What a shame and disgrace to the nation it is that this woman was ever elected to our government! She is clearly a hateful person who will stoop to exploitation of terrible situations to push through her anti-American violation of our constitutional rights!

Well I'm glad someone did the right thing and tried to stop the shooter, even though he failed.

It was only his second time ever on the site, he told BuzzFeed News.

Sure! I believe that!

Someone close to him is a QAnon believer, and after hearing them spout "some really crazy sh*t," Colin went on the site out of curiosity.

Uh huh! And also I swear that I never smoked weed before this time you just caught me, sir!

Such a convenient set of claims, statemnents and facts from this witness! It's amazing! Q, white supremacists, 8chan bad, Trump supporters.. too bad that somehow they couldn't have worked in him getting the gun from 8chan as 3D printer downloads or something. I'm surprised that they missed that angle?

Yes, 8chan is a creepy place, but then there is Buzzfeed to remind us there are worse sites on the web.

The close, naturally, calls for internet monitoring and censorship.

“I used to think the First Amendment applied entirely to the internet," he said. "And now, I realize that the First Amendment is about the government putting you in a cage or killing

"I think these websites should be more heavily regulated," he added. "There should be a real-time way for the government to get your information."

... and there’e the real pitch of this article, to limit the 1st Amendment... as if this would have prevented this shooting.

Considering the people that post under that letter have been hacked multiple times by amateurs, it’s not likely that the government would have any trouble figuring out who they are.

They had 20 minutes to at least get a few policemen there....and didn’t. Because they couldn’t verify it. Why not send a few patrols there anyway? Just to be on the safe side.

Right. That would have stopped the shooting.

One guy was.

Engaged the shooter and prevented further casualties.

What kind of moron buys what Buzzfeed is selling?

What kind of moron subsequently promotes it as “news”?

We know the answer if we simply open our eyes.

Wikileaks and the Russian collusion coup attempt prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Buzzfeed is beholden to the swamp and works to harm President Trump and our republic. It’s literally what they are paid to do.

Do people also get paid to promote Buzzfeed? Asking for a friend...
