In other words, government intelligence resources, tools and capabilities that are supposed to be dedicated to protecting the country were re-directed against American citizens for political purposes. Those valuable and highly sensitive resources were, in effect, taken off-line to conduct illegal political spying. Simply disgraceful.
If heads don’t roll for this abuse the country is lost. I hope Barr lets the indictments fly.

The memos were unearthed a few days ago through open-records litigation by the conservative group Citizens United.
I find this statement labeling Citizens United a Conservative group a bit difficult to believe, based on the 2010 Supreme Court decision in Citizens United vs FEC. It is not conservatives that want that decision overturned.
Nothing so far that indicates WHY Steele and our so-called allies had such hatred of President Trump. Was it all Republicans that OpRes was being conducted? Or just the President.
